by Chapters Podcasts

A Story in the making of an Individual.

Hosted by Mc SaabiiBoi & Da Angryone

The idea of Chapters is centred on the search to understand an individual. It will be ten-episode per series Podcast, aimed at providing opportunities for guests to share stories, moments or life events that they feel have shaped who they are, memorable experiences that acted as defining or pivotal moments in either their careers or personal journeys. These experiences, or Chapters, may not reflect what the guest is working on at the moment, but should reflect what has helped them become who they are.

S01E12: Mikyla Cara's Interview

30m · Published 18 Jul 23:00

A soulful power house, heavily influenced by 90’s/2000’s RnB & soul sensations such as Alicia Keys & Brandy. Mikyla Cara combines both old school Neo-soul/RnB melodies and stylistic features, with a more contemporary style of writing.
Growing up, Luton-born Mikyla sung from a very young age, mostly mimicking other artists, then later began developing her own sound through writing and vocal arrangement/production.
As a self described empath, she sings with an emotive sound; this, combined with her ability to enable her personal experiences and pain to transpire in her songs, means her writing is often described as relatable and from the heart.
