Ricardo shared with us an incredible negative story of an obsessive controlling leader, and on the positive side, a personal story about his wife, her leadership skills and ways of leading.  

People that don’t have time to rest, time to spend with their families or friends will have a negative impact on their work productivity and quality. Leaders should take this in consideration.

He is an active content writer on Linkedin, passionate about people’s interactions, an enthusiast on recruitment and talent management initiatives.  

Gonçalo was a great guest and communicator, he shared with us a negative story of a leader that loved to shout to his employees when things got complicated, and on the positive side, a leader whose availability to actually discuss and talk with his employees in an open manner was a reality.  

Trust is like a house of cards, we can build it but it can easily fall apart!

Shannon is director of “Le Wagon” Portugal, a company whose mission is to bring coding skills to creative people and business professionals. Shannon exchanged North America for Portugal 7 years ago and fell in love with Lisbon and our beautiful country.  

Shannon was a fantastic guest, sharing with us very personal stories of her professional life, talking about micro-management, vulnerability and being human at work. An inspiring conversation by a great communicator.   

The superpower I’m finding in my leadership is all about being human and not faking it.

This week our incredible guest is Paulo Santos

Paulo is Head of Partnerships & Business Development working @ Moloni (A Portuguese cloud invoicing and business management online software).  Paulo changed his life a couple of years ago moving from the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, to his much smaller and less stressful hometown in the middle of Portugal, Seia, searching for a better work-life balance.  

Paulo is a fantastic communicator, he shared with us on this episode a weak leadership example of a female colleague that was enduring a risky pregnancy and that had to leave work sooner than expected receiving a surprising reaction from her leader on that subject…. On the other hand, Paulo has also had fantastic leaders along his life and he was delighted to share some of those leaders’ names and why they were so incredible to him.   

The fact that you are a top performer in sales doesn’t imply that you have the abilities/capabilities/skills necessary to be a leader.
