Self Improvement Tips

16m · Published 16 Sep 10:00

Adding up to the Routine

[01:22]

It's all about adopting a tiny bit of anything every day that will add up to something significant in the end. It is much similar to the compound effect.

Personal Steps to Self-Improvement

[02:21]

Sarah listens to a podcast on her way to work, cleaning the dishes, or walking the dogs - small tasks Sarah already performs. She fills with a podcast episode in her day, which has a little bit of blank space.

[03:42]

Sarah proceeded to pick up a book and begin reading. Thus, she attempted to choose a different book for self-improvement each month but occasionally did not finish the first month's selection, so she carried it over to the second month. However, Terri wishes to read 12 different self-improvement books in a year. Thus, she began with simply five to ten minutes per day, which she reads every single day.

[05:06]

Sarah makes an effort to maintain an exercise program; she attempts to take care of her body. If you're not fuelling your mind, body, and spirit, if you're not taking care of them, you're going to feel off in some manner. And Sarah thought it was fascinating because it's true; if you don't take care of your mind, your body, or your spirit, you're going to miss something, you're going to feel strange.

[06:29]

Self-improvement projects don't have to be enormous. But in the long run, those two times of spinning per week, that book, and that podcast episode will help you with your mind and body. And a year from now, you'll be a different person because of what you're doing well. Whatever you decide to do, after a year, you'll be in a completely different space. A complete redesign of your life isn't required if you're sick and tired of being trapped in the same spot right now. Minor modifications might add up to significant changes.

Taking Actions

[07:38]

You must begin by adapting one thing at a time and determining what works for you. You are neither correct nor incorrect. In either case, anything you do to improve yourself will make you feel better. The more you contribute to self-improvement, the more you will improve yourself and feel better about yourself.

Skills and Self-Improvement

[08:09]

Taking an online course, for example, is a great way to grow your mind and intellect and broaden your horizons and learn something new. When you know new things, it challenges you and helps you strengthen specific brain muscles.

[08:33]

The thing about owning your own business is that you are constantly learning new skills. Sometimes you'll learn new skills through an online course, or you'll work with a business coach, or you'll just read some training materials that will assist you, but it's going to require you to venture outside your comfort zone. Additionally, it instructs you on how to perform new tasks. As a result, it broadens your mind, broadens your view, broadens your thinking, and gives you something to look forward to. Additionally, it enables you to embrace a challenge.

Podcast Impact

[10:21]

Terri appreciates some encouragement in the confidence-building and challenges that the podcasts provide daily to help you get motivated and remind you why it's critical to conduct these self-development activities.

Filter Unhealthy Thoughts

[12:02]

What you feed your brain and what you consume has a significant impact on your mental and emotional health. Therefore, ensure that anything you engage with your thoughts benefits you and will not harm you. You don't want to add any additional toxicity to your life.

[13:03]

If outside stimuli provoke you, sit down with a piece of paper and start writing thankfulness affirmations. Developing your thinking and self-development is another approach. Because when you start focusing on the things you're thankful for, it's hard to be sad or furious. It's hard to have those emotions because it puts you in a different perspective.

Devoting Time to Essential Things

[13:36]

Self-development involves valuing yourself, putting limits around your time, and sticking to your calendar. It means turning off your phone and focusing on your family during family and dinner time. Give yourself some boundaries, such as not being addicted to anything for too long.

Let's Talk Human Design with Our Guest Jen Nelson - Part Two

23m · Published 19 Aug 10:00

Human Design and Strategy

[00:47]

In human design, knowing your type and strategy is very beneficial for implementing this into your life.  1/4 of the whole piece of the rabbit hole that you can go down in Human Design. Strategy is how you  interact, how you communicate things and how you like being communicated with when you are in your  strategy. If you are not living your design and not living by your strategy, it is like pushing a rock up. You're  going to get frustrated and you're going to get burned out.

Being Manifestor

[04:55]

A Manifestor can channel their energy into action. It's a form of energy. People have the misconception  that manifestors are free to do anything they please. They can't because it's all a trick of the light.

Manifestors are prone to operating on their own, and when they do, they appear to be taking action on  their own.

Generator in Business

[06:47]

You've come to respond to the world around you. You do nothing until something happens in your life.

After that, you react to it. Your method is as simple as "waiting to respond," which is easier said than done  but will revolutionize your life if mastered. You have access to renewable energy, so make the most of it!

[08:29]

The key is to be in balance slash alignment and this is we need to show the process like inspired about this  is like really lighting up. In the next couple of weeks, you are informing that you have something coming  up and now you will be providing them information later down the road.

The Projector

[11:20]

Projectors can empower themselves by asking for invitations. You're waiting for your chance to shine. You  are gifted and have inherent qualities and gifts, but you must first wait for them to be recognized before  they can be realized. You have a lot of knowledge to contribute, but you must first be requested to do so;  else, you risk being rejected. You see people who they are at their core and this can be unnerving for  others.

[14:05]

How you act will alter depending on your inner authority. Projectors are the most diverse of all the  categories in terms of how they appear. So pay attention to your inner authority and discover more about  how it manifests in your life. If your inner authority is self-projection, for example, you make decisions by  consulting someone you trust. You listen for your truth and then you can take action.

Deep Dive Your Design

[20:18]

You will learn and comprehend why you are here, how your energies flow, how you should make  decisions, and what approach is aligned with your design to come into balance if you dive deep into your  design. Get your Human Design body graph and learn what makes you tick because there is no one-size-fits-all strategy to the company. And when it comes to Human Design in your online business, recognizing  your Human Design, your individuality, opens doors in ways you never imagined.

Let's Talk Human Design with Our Guest Jen Nelson

30m · Published 12 Aug 10:00

What is human design?

[3:42]

It is your energetic profile blueprint that we all came into the world, that God blesses us.

[4:21]

Human design is not a Bible, nor is it a religion. It's simply an energetic blueprint guide for connecting with your authentic self. Each of us has a unique finger. And that is just what it is. Even while we share the umbrella of manifesting generators, our blueprints are distinct.

What are the types of human design?

[6:42]

There are five different categories in general. When you get into human design, you realize how important it is to teach people how to integrate profile lines. Also, you'll notice the term alignment. Each design has a unique trademark of everything that feels natural when you get your signature type.

[8:20]

  • The Manifester. The manifesters make up only 10% of the population, and their energy changes. For example, they may have a lot of power one day and then watch Netflix the next. They're going to bring you the person who came up with the idea, which is a fantastic idea. They're not the workers; they're just not built for the grind. They're designed such that the inspiration is at the very top.
  • The Generator. The generators are the energizer bunnies. They have a lot of energy, with the caveat that they have to love what they're doing. They will also have boundless energy.
  • Manifesting Generators. They’re superhumans. They will pursue different percentages. Some people might have more manifester than generators, and then some might have more generators than manifester.
  • The projectors. They are here to guide us, and they have such a fantastic overview perception of things. They are the ones that be like, "I see the big picture of things, and here's my advice." Because they're working in their spleen, they're highly perceptive.
  • Reflectors. They've come to test, sample, and analyze everything in their environment. They can go into different situations, different careers, they're often really good at graphics, all of that outer pretty.

[24:06]

Often, we don't realize our own gifts because they're just so natural to us.

[28:51]

Some tools go wrong, as well as every aspect of your human design. Empower yourself. With those open centers, as wonderful as they are, and recognizing those boundaries, Jen can give you ways and things to help you get rid of it quickly.

Don't Be Afraid To Try New Things

20m · Published 05 Aug 10:00

How Terri Started on Social Media

 [2:04]

Terri didn’t even use Myspace when a friend added her on Facebook. She started adding a lot of her friends on Facebook and started to connect with her circles of friends.

 [3:48]

Terri decided to use social media for her business. So, she started to study everything about it and how it can help her expand her clientele.

The “Can’t” Word

 [5:05]

In order to learn something new and apply it to your life, it is important to stay motivated and determined and to stop using the word “I can’t”. If you are going to use these words, at least add the word “yet” to it. So, instead of saying “I can’t”, start saying “I can’t YET”.

 [5:57]

Nothing is too big for you to learn. With the right mindset and a positive attitude, you get learn anything you want to learn.

Limiting Beliefs

 [6:23]

Your beliefs and your thoughts are the ones that are putting you those limits. It is not because you cannot actually do it, it is just because you think you can’t do it.

 [9:38]

Not every day is a great day though because we are humans, and we can feel angry jealous, angry, and sad. You just need to learn how to work through it and balance your life.

Some Tips

 [10:26]

First is to recognize that what you’re thinking is a negative thought.

[10:56]

Second is to realize that this negative though is not real, and it is just a thought.

 [11:49]

What you can do is journal it down. You can write the negative thought and then on the other side, you make that negative thought into a positive one. So, basically, it is just trying to look at the positive side of that negative thought.

Applying What You Learned

 [16:13]

Whether you are in a training, listening to a podcast, or attending classes, pick up one thing that you have learned from those and put it in practice by actually doing it. It can be whatever. It can be something for your mindset, business, or something that would truly change your life.

What Color Personality Do You Have?

24m · Published 29 Jul 10:00

Knowing your Audience

[02:19]

Terri believes it is crucial to know your audience, who you are working with, and the people who are working for you. Because if you do, you can communicate with them and focus on how you can serve them, help them, and even learn something from them.

The 4-Color Personalities

[03:07]

Terri explains that there are four color personalities; Yellow, Blue, Green, and Red. Terri believes she is the least red and more yellow. But what do these colors mean?

  • Yellow. Supportive, calm, caring, and has a philanthropic mindset. They are the people who want to make a difference in the world.
  • Blue. Sociable, extroverted, and loves the fun! They are all about spontaneity, loves meeting people, and all about having a good time.
  • Green. Precise, analytical, and wants to know the nitty-gritty stuff. They are highly data-driven, loves numbers, research, and statistics.
  • Red. Adventurous, competitive, and loves to be in control. They love challenges and always want to be in charge.

With these colors, how can you utilize them to make a great team?

[05:12]

Sarah explains how everyone brings something different to the table. It can be fun and unique, but having that diversity within the team allows different kinds of people to bring forth different interactions but tied together with a common interest.

[07:48]

Terri thinks that it is easier to ask someone your color personality because sometimes, you don’t really know your color because others perceive you to be different from what you imagine yourself to be.

[08:17]

Sarah sees Terri as blue and yellow because Terri loves being around people. She thrives and loves connections. Terri corroborated that statement.

How the 4-Color Personalities Affects your Business

[11:51]

Understanding the 4-Color Personalities is an excellent avenue for you to know which one fits with whom in a three-way conversation. For example, you don’t want to pair a yellow with a red because their personalities are the opposite.

[12:36]

Terri looks at the different leaders in their organization or the people she works with and assesses whether the person will be a good fit for her or not. If she has someone interested please in competitive planning, then a red is better off paired with another red. In other words, you pair with someone of their similar colors.

[14:29]

You can have one or two colors, but the best one would be a “Unicorn.” Terri defined the “Unicorn” as someone who can tap into each color and can change the rhythm of the conversation as needed. Just like how a chameleon can change its color to its surroundings. In a nutshell, Unicorns are adaptable.

Color Personalities and its Aquatic Animal Counterpart

[16:09]

Terri explained that each color personality also has its aquatic anime counterpart. A Yellow is a Whale, Green is a Sea Urchin, Blue is a Dolphin, and Red is a Shark. Which thoroughly reflects the behavior based on the defined traits of each color.

The 4-Color Personality Chart

[16:59]

Sarah shared the color personality chart that talks about a color’s voice, strengths, weaknesses, motto, and keywords.
[17:11]

  1. Yellow – “We all need to get along! Let’s be friends!”
  2. Voice – soft and gentle
  3. Strengths – Dependable, team player, patient, supportive, and nurturing
  4. Weaknesses – Oversensitive, “followers,” and not goal-oriented
  5. Keywords – team, together, relationship, family
  6. Dislikes – Pushy people

[17:48]

  1. Blue – “Fun! Fun! Fun!”
  2. Voice – loud and fast
  3. Strengths – Promoters, convincing, and enthusiastic
  4. Weaknesses – Poor in follow-up, exaggerates, talkative, and unorganized
  5. Keywords – fun, excitement, freedom, lifestyle
  6. Dislikes – anything boring

[19:39]

  1. Green – “Let’s get the facts and figures!”
  2. Voice – Soft and polite
  3. Strengths – organized, planners, accurate, persistent, and great in follow up
  4. Weaknesses – overanalytical, hard to please, depressed, and lonely
  5. Keywords – why, graphs, charts, research
  6. Dislikes – pushy people, no facts, being late, and lazy people

[20:40]

  1. Red – “Get out of my way!”
  2. Voice – Forceful with volume
  3. Strengths – Focused, goal-oriented, and intense
  4. Weaknesses – Egotistic, short-tempered, dominating, impatient, and unteachable
  5. Keywords – Money, power, control, straightforward
  6. Dislikes – Indecision, chitchat, and losing control

[21:38]

Sarah explained how it correlates to business. Since a Red dislikes chitchats, you need to be on point with them, and Terri added that pairing a Red to a Blue will be a disaster and annoying.

Conclusion

[22:33]

Sarah believes that everyone has four different colors in themselves in some way, shape, or form. But out of these colors, there is a dominant one that comes out frequently. You might think you are yellow, but you’re not. Maybe, you are something else!
