14. The First Million Ft. Gerald Peters

1h 24m · Published 26 Dec 14:10

This episode features Gerald Peters: Real estate & stock investor, educator, author & creator of the "Money Flow Trading System".

I came across Gerald's content a few years ago and it had an extremely positive impact on me & the way I viewed money going forward. In the words of GP: "The blue print to building wealth hasn’t changed in 5000 years. You own a business, invest in business or you invest real estate. Pick one, or pick all three but you have to pick at least one of them to get yourself rich."

Unlike many high net worth people you might follow online, Gerald never had a high paying job, doesn't own a huge company with a bunch of employees & quite frankly is a "normal" dude... which makes his story that much more awesome. In this episode, we dive into Gerald's story and discuss different investing philosophies.

10. My Most Expensive Speed Bump yet - Lawrence, Kansas

29m · Published 29 Sep 19:07

My most expensive speed bump yet.

Healthy prepared meals in a drive-thru...⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ man, I thought this would be genius. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣We were the first drive thru meal prep location in the country.

⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣11 months. That’s how long it made it. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
Feb. 2019 - Dec. 2019. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

In this episode, I take you through why this concept didn't work in detail, all the way through the closing process. It is all obvious to me now, but that's how it works - easy to play Monday morning quarterback.

Failure is best learned through a secondhand story, and is much cheaper, so maybe you can take a lesson or two from this.

9. Realizing Progress

5m · Published 20 Sep 17:24

Personally, I beat myself up about making progress all the time - with my workouts, runs, business, everything... I never seem to be moving fast enough towards my goals to be content.

In reality, when I sit down and zoom OUT and look at my life through a little different lens, it helps me realize progress and how I AM actually moving forward and have come a long way. For me, it is very necessary to reframe this dialogue in my head or else I will quickly spiral downward mentally.

Great things take time... Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.

Big goals take time to accomplish. Enjoy the process. After all, the process is life.

8. "What if I Fail?"

11m · Published 13 Sep 18:17

Fear. We all deal with it... WHAT IF I FAIL?!

I share a few of my personal battles with fear: What if this rental property never rents, overthinking, negative bank accounts & more.

So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality.

This is a mental speed bump you have to overcome to progress. You just need to get literal with the question: What if you fail?

Oh and by the way... What if it turns out better than you could ever imagine?

6. The Speed Bumps Podcast is a Speed Bump for me

13m · Published 16 Aug 12:00

The Speed Bumps Podcast for me IS a Speed Bump for me right now.

Why "perfection" isn't the goal, what even is "perfection" & how frequency is key. I know you'll be able to relate to this in some part of your own life.

Also, why I struggle with vacations... What truly makes you happy?
