Turn Chaos into Huge Profits! Episode #44 w/Kyle Livingston

42m · Published 02 Nov 13:02

Kyle Livingston - Show Notes

Losing $200,000 in under 9 months, Kyle Livingston's investment in his new business led to no gain - just unbearable pain. The experience, a disaster never foreseen, affected him so much that he started to feel like a failure, that anything he would ever set foot on would turn out bad. (You know, that's the trauma doing the talk!) With his mind replaying the bad times and refusing to get out of the negative thoughts, Kyle lost another hundreds of thousands of dollars in the subsequent months, and had a handful to loathe about for 18 months. But what was behind this series of failures? Could he have avoided it?

As Kyle sits with Dr. K in this episode of Success Leaves Clues, he reveals the sense of ego (from building and selling two successful brick-and-mortar businesses in the past), the lack of direction, the fear of failure, and the Shiny Object Syndrome experience which carried him to the point of huge losses in his entrepreneurial journey. But the losses, however dismantling, taught him to do business the right way when he ventured into it the next time. He gets into the systems, processes, faith, and habits he set, including time study, goal-setting, and mindset training to restructure his business to align towards success from failure. His journey is testimony to the fact that one must change their idea of money (drawing references from the Bible) to learn to make enough and more of it.

Today, as a mentor and coach for businesses, Kyle uses his experience to help businesspersons with potential find solutions to their problems by tuning their minds out of scarcity and self-loathing and towards abundance. Tune in to this episode of Success Leaves Clues to learn invaluable tips to become successful in your business!

Episode 43 Kyle Carlin

Kyle Carlin, now a winning real estate entrepreneur, started his professional career as a sports anchor – filming, editing, shooting, and presenting videos for high-school athletes, helping them get recruited to play in college. The experience, though starkly different from an investing career, introduced him to many nuances of being a professional, including sales, networking, teaching, and presentation. That, along with the business lessons gained gradually in life, has helped him establish a gratifying career in real estate – as an entrepreneur, coach, and podcaster!

Kyle's biggest breakthrough happened when he realized that he had been exhausting himself by not outsourcing people to work for him. By investing his time into every single task, however big or small, he was narrowing his potential. So, if you ask him today, he'd tell you that the one thing he would've done differently in the early days of his real estate journey is to hire people for his team. In his words, "I don't have to figure all this out on my own, I can bring someone in that will show me the way. And that probably could have cut five or six years off of my learning curve."

He sits with me in this episode of Success Leaves Clues to share his top advice to help you become a fearless real estate investor and achieve financial freedom in the shortest time possible. This includes his ingenious ACTION acronym for fearlessly acting on your dreams to propel your career forward.

How to Make Residual Payments by Providing Merchant Services! Episode #41 w/David Carlin

39m · Published 15 Sep 23:07

Episode 41 David Carlin

David Carlin and his wife Patricia have gradually and quite patiently built a massive passive income stream through an industry little-known to most: digital payments. When everyone else was on the grind – either on their own business or employed at someone else's – the power couple was constantly on the joyride – traveling the world, golfing, and whatnot. People found it hard to believe you could make much money as them by just helping people and businesses get set up with credit card processing. So the couple even made a course out of their business functionalities – The Digital Payments Revolution – which sells for just a few ten dollars!

David joins me on the podcast today to explain how the whole system of his business works and how it yields him the returns and affords him the lifestyle he can today. Residual Payments is a proven model; a little bit of a grind until the first few wins, yet a terrific time investment. He reveals the different things that go into setting up + running the business, the mindset secrets to such incredible success, and the way forward with Residual Payments.

David also reminisces about his journey to entrepreneurship, pivoting from a retail bike business upon the advice of his now-wife and business partner Patricia Carlin. He also reveals the mindset secrets to lasting success, including cultivating an abundance mindset and keeping aside ego. Listen in!

Investing in Laundromats is Better than Real Estate! Episode #39 w/Jordan Berry

Episode 39 Jordan Berry

What comes to your mind first when you hear 'laundromat'? Let me tell you that the dark, dirty image of a place that comes to mind first has much more to it than you've ever thought.

For starters, the laundromat business could be an excellent stream of passive income, as my guest for today's episode, Jordan Berry, reveals. As a pastor-cum-laundromat entrepreneur, Jordan explains his journey to increase his finances in a way that didn't require him to be fully invested in it. This thought was passed on to him by his wife, who he regards as a strong force in his professional journey.

The laundromat (self-service laundry) business is community-centered, so the focus must be on creating a clean and safe space for different people to do laundry. Jordan gets into the different things he did wrong when starting out on his business, how he fixed them, and what his plans with the future of the business are. Tune in to the episode now!

Episode 36 Keith

Owning both your strengths and weaknesses gives you the power to move forward in life confidently. And it is evident in the life story of Keith, my entrepreneur-boxer guest for this episode of Success Leaves Clues.

Coming from a boxer-artist family gave him an edge on those skills, some he had by birth, and some he developed professionally. He was also well-off financially. But despite his upper-middle class background, which in reality, created a “soft existence” for him, he faced multiple challenges in life. The first of them probably being Lyme disease.

When most of his pals were getting ready to go to college, working jobs, or having girlfriends, Keith saw his life fall apart because of the disease. He felt like a loser devoid of any self-worth. But in the years that followed, Keith turned the thought around in his mind by slowly building up his self-worth and ultimately his personal brand by becoming a renowned entrepreneur with his own boxing gym, called the Keppner Boxing Gym.

Listen to this episode to hear Keith’s personal and professional growth and the trajectory it took to get him to where he is today!
