The owner,Glenn Ushkowitz, has been in the flooring business his entire life, with his family owning multiple flooring company’s throughout the entire northeast. As owner, Glenn has first hand experience – starting as an installer and moving to Harrisburg, PA to open Couch Potato Carpet and Flooring. Glenn and his wife Silvia have run their business alongside their daughters, Gina and Sarina. Sarina’s husband Mathew has over 15+ years experience in the construction industry and is a leading installer for Couch Potato Carpet and Flooring. Our small business has grown to open up a second location in Goldsboro, PA Flooring Store.

Behind the name

Glenn has been a sports guy all his life. Spending his Sunday’s watching football or attending a Saturday afternoon baseball game are some of his favorite pastimes. His wife Silvia always calls him a couch potato because he loves watching sports, not so much playing them. ;-) So when it came time to come up with a name for his new flooring store, Silvia jokingly said Couch Potato Carpet. The name had a nice ring to it and it stuck! Once Glenn “The Couch Potato” decided to open a second location, he added “& Flooring”. This is why we are known as Couch Potato Carpet & Flooring.
