Going out West with Dominic Janidas

43m · Published 22 May 18:54

Originally licensed in 2006, Dominic Janidas entered the real estate industry as a general residential practitioner. Since stepping into the business full-time in 2014, he has worked in numerous facets of the industry, trying to gain as much knowledge as possible to provide his clients with the most unique, professional, and enjoyable experience from start to close.

He has worked with many different types of buyers and sellers, including first-time home buyers, up-and down-sizers, second-home owners, and first-time investors. As time went on, he found a knack for working in the commercial realm as well.

Over the years, Dominic has closed several commercial transactions, including land development and assemblages, gas stations and train repair facilities, warehouses, apartment buildings, bars/restaurants, mixed-use residential/commercial properties, investment portfolios, and office buildings and retail outlets.

It was this segment of the business that motivated him to further his education and career by earning his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation with the National Association of REALTORS® in 2018. While he was working on his CCIM designation, he was also taking classes to earn his Pennsylvania Associate Broker’s license, which he earned in 2019. In addition, he holds an MBA in Marketing from Duquesne University.

In his previous position, Dominic was the broker of record for an agency that represented investment clients who purchased, renovated, and rented single-family homes in the Greater Pittsburgh area. While he spearheaded acquisitions, he also managed renovation teams and all of the property management for his clients.

Beyond his normal day-to-day job functions, Dominic is also very active in the real estate community. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh, for which he is also the 2023 President and served as 2020 and 2021 Secretary-Treasurer and 2022 as President-Elect. In addition, Dominic was also elected 2022 President of the Pennsylvania/New Jersey/Delaware CCIM Chapter in the commercial real estate industry. In his free time, Dominic loves to volunteer with charitable organizations like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Movember Foundation.

In November of 2021, Dominic was honored by Top Agent Magazine as a featured top agent in the publication's Nationwide & International Edition, and in March of 2022, Dominic was honored as an Honor Society agent member of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices which recognizes the top 18% of agents in the company nation-wide.

In February 2022, Dominic brought on another commercial real estate agent to officially kick off the start of the Dominic Janidas Team with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. William Clemenza joined the team as a Commercial Sales and Leasing Advisor and has experience in all types of commercial real estate practice, including commercial underwriting and investment analysis, as well as acquisitions and dispositions. Additionally, in April 2022, Morgan Jacobs joined Dominic's team to work as a Residential Sales and Leasing Advisor.

The Dominic Janidas Team offers clients a unique experience and an unparalleled level of service in both the residential and commercial real estate segments. Dominic, Will, and Morgan's combined backgrounds in residential transactions, new construction and development, renovation, investment analysis, and sales and leasing, allow them to provide clients with the level of service and experience they would come to expect from a large firm, but with the care and attention of a boutique operation.

Dominic’s background, experience, and drive give him a unique take on the business. What he loves most about real estate is that it’s different every day. Like a fingerprint, no two deals are alike. No two clients are the same. He gets to be creative, work with different people on a daily basis, and help his clients to achieve their goals.

Whether it’s buying your first home or finding a location for your first shop, selling your investment portfolio or hunting down land where you will build your dream home, Dominic and his team are ready and waiting to help, offering you unparalleled attention, dedication, commitment, and service to get you onto your next chapter, whatever it may be.

Let the Dominic Janidas team help you save your spot in residential or commercial real estate in Pittsburgh!

Interview with Dawn Keefer

36m · Published 08 May 11:02

Dawn Keefer was elected to represent the 92nd District in the House of Representatives in November 2016. She is in her fourth term of office representing residents of the 92nd District, which consists of Carroll, Dover (PART, District 02), Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Newberry, Warrington and Washington townships; and the boroughs of Dillsburg, Franklintown, Goldsboro, Lewisberry, Wellsville and York Haven. For the 2023-24 session, she serves on the House Liquor Control, Health and State Government committees..

A fiscal conservative with more than 20 years of professional and government experience, Dawn brings a unique perspective to governing from both the public and private sectors. She owned and operated a consulting firm for more than 10 years that focused on grass-roots strategy, membership development and fundraising. On both a professional and personal level, Dawn understands the struggles small businesses face when it comes to surviving and growing in Pennsylvania’s economy, and she is committed to challenging the policies and regulations fostering a hostile business climate in Pennsylvania.

During her short period of time in the House, Dawn has forced the conversation of fiscal accountability and transparency. She continues to lead the charge in regulatory reform through her Pennsylvania REINS Act and fiscal stewardship by ensuring tax dollars are used appropriately. Dawn also remains on the side of natural economic growth by challenging Pennsylvania’s outdated and unfair tax structure that negatively impacts small businesses and hinders investment. These attributes are a major reason why colleagues on the newly-formed Pennsylvania State Freedom Caucus chose her to serve as chairwoman.

Dawn has an extensive history of public service, having served on the boards of the Carlisle Senior Housing Corp. and the Dillsburg Area Soccer Club, as a volunteer for the Hemlock Girl Scout Council and Junior Achievement, and as a coach for Upward Soccer and the St. Joseph Parish’s JV Boys Track team. She was appointed by the Speaker of the House to serve as a board member of the Capitol Preservation Committee. Dawn served as the chief advisor to former state Rep. Will Gabig on issues of transportation, economic development, education and agriculture. She also served as a tent leader for the highly successful Youth Impact Project and served for 15 years as an advisor for the Chi Omega chapter at Gettysburg College, during which she advised collegiate women as they navigated leadership, academic and career opportunities.

Dawn and her husband, Tom, a retired Pennsylvania State Police corporal with more than 24 years of service and a veteran of the Marine Corps, are raising their three children in Dillsburg. She and her family are members of St. Joseph Parish in Mechanicsburg.
