In this episode, we're with Dr. Riley Anderson, a licensed naturopathic doctor with a clinical focus on mental health. He likes to focus in the mental health field because intimately understand the dedication it takes to overcome these types of struggles that's why he researched the best available treatment plans for the most prevalent mental health conditions facing our society.  

We discussed and go over his journey and challenges towards being a naturopathic doctor and how visiting a lot of top healthcare professionals in the city and distributing calling cards to also build a referral network is a stepping stone for his career growth as a doctor.  Did you know? Dr. Riley launched his blog about "Naturopathic approaches to alcoholism"  and it was fairly a successful marketing strategy to his career and have his name exposed in the field.

We interviewed Dr. Gail Gazelle,  one of the nation’s preeminent physician burnout coaches who is also a certified mindfulness teacher and a former consultant for the United States Department of Justice.   In this episode, Dr. Gazelle, with over 30 years of experience, elaborated the causes, effects, and the roots of a doctor burnout and how she coaches a lot of doctors all throughout her career. She also discussed her journey as a coach, the challenges she faced, and how she got her first client.  She also launched her book entitled, "Everyday Resilience", dedicated to everyone who wants to build their resilience towards any challenges in life.  Dr. Gail's pro tip - "We all have resilience within us, we just didn't know how to access it. We also have our fair share of ups and downs in our lives (imposter syndrome, perfectionalism) but what we need to do is to believe in ourselves in order for us to access the wisdom within us."

In this episode, we interview with Dr. Joanna Nguyen, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Los Angeles, California, with expertise in aesthetic plastic surgery.   We discussed and go over her journey and challenges and how she managed to grow her career especially in LA (emphasised that the platform "Yelp" actually help her a lot in terms of marketing her practice in the field), wherein there are a lot of competitions out there especially in terms of plastic surgery clinics.   

Did you know? Vital Doctalk ep#24 Dr. Amy Dayries: Community as a marketing tool for improvement of medical career

In this episode, we interview Dr. Amy Dayries, a dentist from Atlanta, Georgia who recently launched her book "Solve your sleep (get to the core of your snore for better health)".  She specializes in General Dentistry but she also holds a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine, completed an 18 month long herbal medicine program, and focuses on sleep and cranial-facial development in connection to those patients who suffer from sleep issues (since she makes a lot of sleep appliances, she notices that having crooked teeth and sleep actually have a deeper connection with each other)  

Let's find out how she discusses the importance of having a support group/community as a significant tool in marketing all throughout her medicine career.  

Her main takeaway for improvement of the medical practice: "Make a list of what works and what hasn't worked in terms of your strategy, you can also start measuring data, have the right people people behind you in place (people that you trust and the most important is the one with integrity). You can also identify gaps and then immediately filling those gaps with the right training, and lastly, treat your employees or anyone you work with compassion."
