People waiting to trip one another up for any minor mistake. This is why I want to reflect on why mistakes along the way are inevitable. You may feel that dread in the pit of your stomach when you come to share your message publicly. My daughter calls it the fizzy tummy. You know the drill.

Being seen in your biz can bring up all of the things. 

Why do so many of us feel this way? Observe kids. They love to dance, sing and cavort around with wild abandon. So, what goes wrong as we move into adulthood?

This gets to the root of why so many of us feel we don't have a voice. Little wonder, really.

In today's show I talk about a label which I hear used *all of the time* to describe children. This label, when used consistently, then sticks. It becomes an identity. The result is it impacts how you show up in the world. Maybe it has defined you, too?

You don't have to stay in a limited box. You may feel that you have a lot to share. Yet you may also feel everything needs to be 'on message'. You may clip your wings in the process. The result? You limit the flow of what needs to come through you.

I used to think you had to be a master of the one thing. You will have heard the quote that does the rounds (more on that in this week's episode).

I changed my mind. And a little reminder that you can change your mind at ANY point. On anything.

I now believe you can be deeply rooted in your personal brand and sell anything the feck you want. More on that in the show.

Do you aim for perfectionism in everything you do in your biz? Maybe you don't recognise it as perfectionism. You may feel justified in delaying your launch. You may feel the hours (and hours) of research into the best podcast mic, or the best website hosting platform is a good investment of your time.

Your first step is to recognise this. Often delay, procrastination and excuses of any kind are driven by perfectionism. A desire to do it the best. To be the best. A fear of making a mistake.

Having high standards is great. To a point. If it keeps you from moving your biz forwards....if it keeps your message stuck in your head....if you aren't out there serving your community, then it's time to  bring an awareness to it.  Then? Move through the messy middle and own the imperfect actions.

You may feel stuck on this point. What title to call yourself. It seems to be a sticking point for so many people.

Society loves to stick us in a box. How many times do people ask 'what do you DO?' As in, what is your job title. They can then feel they have you nailed. With a title or profession, subconscious assumptions fall into place. Like how much money you make. Where you may have gone to school/college. The usual superficial points. Typically they're assumptions that don't relate to you as the beautiful human that you are. Or the impact you make in this world.

I talk about how you can be more expansive than a title as a personal brand. It comes back to what we regularly talk about on the show: owning ALL of you. That includes all aspects of you as you grow and evolve.

This may be the pep talk you need to embrace all aspects of you.
