This week I had the opportunity to sit down with illustrator and art director Hank Washington. Hank is not only a designer, illustrator, and art director but also gives talks at design conferences like Creative South and Canceled Con. In our conversation, Hank and I talked about his introduction into design, how he formed his style as a designer, and how to find your voice as a designer. Hank has also had the chance to work heavily in social media and we had some great conversations about how useful and dangerous social media can be as well. 16 - Always Abounding: Based in Faith, Built on Work

This week I sit down with the cofounders of Always Abounding, Kaleb Buckner and Ryan Stanley. We talked about their background in videography and video production, how their faith influences their business and their workflow for video projects. Based in Tennessee, Always Abounding operates under the mindset that their product has to utilitarian, meaning their videos have to help grow their clients' businesses. With that in mind, they work together in a partnership that allows Ryan to focus on overseeing the shooting of videos and Kaleb to focus on the business and conceptual side of their videos. This week I spoke with Andrew Hochradel, the founder of Canceled Con. Andrew is a freelance graphic designer, speaker, and host of Creative South. With a background in both design and public relations, Andrew aims to create experiences for his audience that go beyond just graphic design and he loves being able to speak at events and share his knowledge with the world. In our conversation, we talked about using public relations to his advantage in his freelance career, creating something for a community to rally around when they need it most, and his most recent endeavor, Canceled Con. 14 - Ryan Hayward: Add Value First

This week I had the chance to sit down and talk to the founder and CEO of Pitchproof and the virtual design conference, Frontrow. At a young age, Ryan knew he had an entrepreneurial and creative drive that set him apart. With that, he jumped all into the creative field as a freelance graphic designer, eventually finding a hole in the design market for a better way to present logos to clients and that's how Pitchproof was born. From there Ryan has focused on providing value and building a community for his audience and built Frontrow to do just that.
