I've been asked to share my 2023 experience in a nutshell. I believe in the power of goal-setting, and according to Brian Tracy, it's crucial to set SMART goals - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound. I invested time in learning how to set better goals, and it made a significant difference.

In 2023, I accomplished many of the goals I set for myself, including starting a company on WhatsApp focused on digital parenting. I also dedicated time to personal and professional development, attending paid seminars and reading numerous books. Reflecting on the past year, I realized that the more I set goals, the more my mind opened up to new possibilities.

For 2024, I've already begun by opening an academy, the Children and Teens Mentoring Academy. I believe in aiming higher each year, and my journey has taught me that whatever you think about, you can achieve. Write down your goals; it's like planting a seed that will germinate over time.

While my 2023 wasn't without challenges, including bouts of depression, I learned that failure is a part of the journey. The key is not to stay down; instead, get up, clean up, and move forward. Ask yourself the right questions, keep a journal, and create your own success story in 2024.

In 2023, reuniting with my family after three years for my dad's burial was poignant. Despite the sorrowful occasion, the moments shared with my mum, siblings, and loved ones were truly unforgettable. The laughter, tears, stories, and bonds reaffirmed the importance of family as my true home.

However, the year also brought challenges, revealing the dangers of settling, overthinking, and neglecting intentional relationship commitments. Feeling stuck and distracted, I lost opportunities and lagged in achieving goals. Despite the setbacks, having a close network of confidants provided crucial support, reinforcing the value of shared experiences.

Approaching 2024, my strategy will involve prioritizing God, seeking audacity in pursuing goals, and avoiding reliance on external validation. The advice for the upcoming year is to embrace life fully with God, hold family close, and intentionally cultivate kindness. Understanding God's role, seeking excellence, and practicing kindness can lead to a purposeful and fulfilling journey in 2024 and beyond.

Fearful of the cost and her reaction, I hesitated but eventually shared the truth. Surprisingly, she was more concerned about my safety, admitting the tiles were sub-standard and needed replacement.

This experience emphasized the importance of transparency. In every situation, telling the truth can save you from unforeseen consequences. Hiding the truth might seem tempting, but it often leads to more stress and complications.

Sharing another instance from last year, when my phone got damaged, I chose honesty with my mom. She responded with understanding and helped me repair it for free, avoiding unnecessary expenses.

The key takeaway: Be transparent, be truthful. It might be challenging, but in the long run, it brings peace and positive outcomes. As we step into 2024, let's embrace the power of truthful transparency.

The year was a roller coaster, filled with highs and lows. I began the year with a new job, thrilled by the prospect of growth and a higher income. However, as months passed, I felt underutilized, lacking the necessary resources to excel.

In March, contemplating resignation, I questioned why God had led me to this seemingly stagnant situation. In a moment of clarity, I realized that my purpose in this role was not just about office tasks but rather human connections and imparting knowledge.

Concentrating on this revelation, I embraced my assignment. Ironically, by April, the organization faced financial constraints and terminated our employment. It became evident that God had a different plan for me.

The lesson? Always follow God's leading. Seek His guidance in moments of confusion and uncertainty. Hebrews 4:16 reassures us that approaching God's throne brings mercy and grace in times of need.

As we step into 2024, my advice is simple: cultivate a personal relationship with God. Let Him be your guide, teacher, counselor, supplier, strength, and source. Allow Him to be your motivational speaker, for only He knows all things. Embrace God as your all in this new year.
