Dead Idea Valhalla

This is just a short blog post to pass the torch to my new show, premiering next Monday, Pilot Season. It'll have it's own page and all that but I wanted to do an audio pass off on the off chance someone listens to this and doesn't listen to the other shows or check the facebook or something.

Well, this is the end. Yes, I'm OK, yes I still deal with a lot of this, yes I'm proud of DIV, yes something is coming in it's place, no I don't know how to live and be creative, no I don't know how to adjust my attitude. Thanks to everyone who helped make the show what it was/lended their talents. Well, here is the big crazy ending to Dead Idea Valhalla. I bring as much back as I can. Thanks a lot to Kole for his help with narration and thanks to everyone who listened the first time and who listened in reruns! Oh, and I'm OK!

Starting off with some classic hate in this penultimate episode. After that, I talk about pets for a while, including a sad story about my lil buddy Poet. Then a song from my Master Wrench album called From Whence you Came. And finally, a hard hitting interview with one of the biggest musicians in the video game music scene.

Some fun talk about table top gaming culture, all about the time I met Beard Mountain during a formative college class. Including, appropriately enough, my fessing up to being grossed out by furries. Which I am. Then a fun Metroids song before more Gary on Zak non furry action.

A very special Halloween episode! I hope you like it! A personal favorite of mine. After some talk of the holiday in general, I play a Metroids classic. Then an audio play presented for your consideration.

I'm back! At least for a time. Inspired by the bathroom at work, a little bit about urinals and male bathroom ettiquette. Then, a song from the much missed Joystick Joy, a band whose live appearances featured one Brayton Cameron. Finally, more relationship talk with Zak Rouse.

All right, all right. This is just the apology/retraction/revision of my quittin' episode. Like I said before, we're nearing the end but we've got a few great episodes coming up as well as some sort of announcement as to what I'll be doing next. Until then, enjoy this mini-sode.

It's the beginning of the end! You know the drill: I think I was being a bit of a whiney baby but I was also in a disolving marriage and they were real feelings I was having, so fuck it! There are a couple more episodes before the big finale! I'll be doing another new episode soon where I'll talk a little about what's next. In the middle I have a David Bowie cover and after that, the first a 2nd 3 part series of 88 Lines About, well, Probably about four Women with my friend Zak.

Here it is! The last episode before I go crazy and talk about quitting the show. From a more well adjusted place, these episodes seem sort of embarrassing. But this is a good fun time. We start out with some articulation about some minor mistakes that musicians have made that have instilled me with ire for life. Then we have a weird number from the last Metroids album, Jean Gray Blues. There are X-men references in this that you can date to specific eras of comics from the early 2000s. Also, the 2nd half has that radio production effect on my voice that I actually like but feels weird in relation to a song this strange production wise. And then a sketch featuring one of my favorite creations, Black History Moth.
