Living in the present moment means letting go of the past and not waiting for the future. It means living your life consciously, always aware that each moment you breathe is a gift.

The present is today, and it’s momentary, and feeling intensely about an unknown future or a distressing past may cause unnecessary stress.  So, what you have to do is live in the present. If you do that, you save yourself much senseless emotional anguish, you must look at each day as if it’s the first day of your life.
