Today Your Humble Host brings you The Shadow on the Library of Sound Volume 309. Orson Welles, the first actor to play the Shadow is here with an episode entitled "Witch Drums of Salem" originally heard September 11, 1938. Your Humble Host imitates Orson Welles and the way he says, "The Shadow". In case you were wondering why I say it that way. Now on to The Shadow!

Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall are back on the Library of Sound Volume 308. Today Bogie plays "Russian Roulette" originally heard around July 2, 1951 as this was a syndicated program there was no one broadcast date. And be sure to hear "Bogie" as he talks with Your Humble Host after the show!

Oh, Your Humble Host has an action packed Great Gildersleeve on Sounds Like Radio Volume 167 this week. It seems our hero is wanted by a desperate woman who claims Gildy is her runaway husband missing for more than a decade. Oh no, Gildy's never been married it's all a mistake. Nothing to do now but put on your running shoes. Today's show originally heard April 2, 1952.

Well, I hate to see Gildy in a pickle and so do these folks who all have a word of advice: Eddy Arnold, Billie Holiday, Bing Crosby, Ink Spots, Kay Starr, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Jordan.

TV has arrived and the Great Gildersleeve isn't happy. The family wants it but Gildy doesn't see the need for the latest fad.

Your Humble Host will try to ease Gildy into the modern world of TV by playing some great and rare classic TV themes and songs. Sounds Like Radio revels in classic TV music today, enjoy.

On the Library of Sound (LOS) Volume 307 we find it's time for Your Humble Host to dip into his own Jean Shepherd Vault and pick out another exclusive classic Shep tape that he originally recorded. It was March 20, 1975 Your Humble Host was still a youngster but knew enough to know that recording these Shepherd shows would guarantee I'd be able to listen to them in the future.

Now they've become Shep classic stories. So let's pull out the latest Shep tape as he talks about having the Jackdaw Syndrome when he goes out junking. What's it all mean? Well, let's find out, hit the button.
