It's his first appearance here and he stops to have "Tea Time With Teenagers" the name of today's episode originally heard July 8, 1951. The Whisperer fights crime from within and leads a double life. Listen for William Conrad (Cannon on TV and radio's Matt Dillon) as he has a big part in today's show.

Your Humble Host is back in his own Jean Shepherd Vault picking out another Shep tape I recorded myself on March 18, 1975 for the Library of Sound (LOS) Volume 296. Today Shep has got a lot on his mind talking of the Transmitter to Life relation, the Cosmic Joke, battery tasting, geography books Jean's gone wild with ideas here. You try to sum it up, I can't. Let's just listen and enjoy the trip.

It's time for that guy we love, Jack Benny. It's been too long since we checked in with Jack Benny on the Library of Sound till now Volume 295. Today Your Humble Host asks the question, what happens after the Jack Benny Show? Well, we're going to find out in this funny February 9, 1947 episode of Jack Benny!

Your Humble Host is proud to present one of my favorite good guys, Simon Templar, better known as The Saint. Vincent Price played the Saint on radio and did it quite well. The Saint on TV was Roger Moore but before Moore there was Vincent Price. The Saint stories were always interesting whether from the books, TV or radio. Today the Saint faces a "High Fence" from June 20, 1945.

It's that time of year again as Sounds Like Radio celebrates the wearin' of the green with a very special vintage Sounds Like Radio show Your Humble Host recorded in March 2000. From deep within the Sounds Like Radio Vault comes this classic St. Patty's Day show with Bing Crosby Irish music and even a Crazy Gugenheim Irish ditty along of course with a St. Patty's Day Great Gildersleeve episode in between the Irish tunes.

Time to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day with our favorite holiday guy, Jean Shepherd! From our Vast Library of Sound (LOS) comes Volume 85 and a March 17, 1972 Jean Shepherd show from St. Patty's Day itself! Find out what they mean by Top of The Mornin' (or is that top it off) as Shep stops in a Dublin, Ireland tavern for breakfast and there ain't a scrambled egg in sight. But plenty of happy juice to go round. Let's join Jean in a round, I'll have a green Sarsaparilla bartender.

Your Humble Host is back in the Reading Corner and has asked Boris Karloff to return to the Library of Sound Volume 293 and to tell us a few more of them really short Aesop's Fables. Today Boris tells us about the Man and the Satyr (a mythical forest creature with the top of a man with a goat's ears, tail and legs), also Boris speaks of the Rooster & the Jewel, the Old Hound Man and the Mountain In Labor. Boris is loaded today with little fables, enjoy.

As Rudy Vallee would say, "My time is your time". And for Your Humble Host today on the Library of Sound Volume 292 that's true as we present this April 20, 1949 broadcast of the great Bing Crosby Show! Bing's guest is the famous crooner from the 1920's the forever college boy, Rudy Vallee. With megaphone in hand he's woo his way to stardom BEFORE Bing's time. This is a funny show too, I think you'll enjoy.

Sounds Like Radio Volume 162 is here with Your Humble Host and the Great Gildersleeve from February 27, 1952. Today Gildy is going to give Leroy his freedom to be responsible for himself. He's gotten tired of telling Leroy what to do so he's going to see how things go if Leroy is, for once responsible for his own chores.

Will Leroy be able to handle this new found freedom? Will all his duties now go to pot? Will Gildy trip over Leroy's skates again?

Well, we're here to help Leroy out in his new quest for freedom. To do so we've brought along Andy Williams, Dorothy Shay, Merle Haggard, Dusty Springfield, Bing Crosby, Doris Day and Burl Ives. Now between all of us we should be able to come up some helpful hints and some sweet sounds along the way.
