Sounds Like Radio Volume 164 is here and ready for action. The Great Gildersleeve plans to take a train trip to Omaha but wants to keep it all on the down-low from Leroy as he doesn't want Leroy to start begging to go with him. How's he going to do it, will Leroy find out, will Gildy get any peace, what do we have in store? Today's show is wild one.

Joining me will be Gogi Grant, Dean Martin, Lizabeth Scott, Bing Crosby & Jo Stafford. But then... we are going to sample my own original 45 record collection from when I was a kid & we'll even have a visit from GRANDPA!! It's Jean Shepherd Time once again on the Library of Sound Volume 301!! Your Humble Host ventures back into his own personal collection of Shep tapes I recorded in the 1970's. Today's show is from March 19, 1975 and we find our man Shepherd on a quest for commercial cultural heritage. I'll bring a flashlight as this one may be hard to find.

Your Humble Host brings you a detective series we haven't presented here before. It's Nick Carter, Master Detective today's episode's called the "Echo of Death" orginally heard July 6, 1943. I'll describe the Nick Carter history a bit in today's Library of Sound (LOS) Volume 300.

Your Humble Host brings back one of our favorite detectives always with a sense of humor, Sam Spade from July 25, 1948 on our Library of Sound (LOS) Volume 299. Today Sam finds himself in a Mad Scientist Caper. Ooh, it's tricky one but I think Sam can handle it.

From Volume 91 of the Library of Sound (LOS) comes this most unusual and memorable Easter episode of "Quiet Please". One of radio's best dramas presenting unusual and at times scary stories. Our story for Easter today is "Shadow of The Wings" originally heard on April 17, 1949. It's at times sad and at times beautiful. And now a very special Easter presentation for you.

Well, Easter buddies, this is one "hot off the presses" as they say. Just recorded this Easter special today just for you. It's time for a Bing Crosby Easter Philco Radio TIme show we haven't played you before. From March 24, 1948 listen as Bing welcomes special Cowboy star, Wild Bill Elliott & the ever charming Peggy Lee.

I've seen every Wild Bill Elliott western ever made and I became a fan after the first one. I remember when I first heard this Bing show years ago I had never even heard of or saw a Bill Elliott western. Boy was I missing out on one of the greats. But no more, thanks to DVDs I caught up on all the great Wild Bill's I had never seen. Too bad TV doesn't run them much nowadays, seek them out if you've never seen any. You won't be sorry. For now, here's Bing & Bill & Peggy as we all celebrate Easter together.

It's time once again for a visit with that master story teller, Jean Shepherd and a special holiday edition from the Library of Sound Volume 93 for Easter. From April 13, 1968 it's a classic episode of Inside Jean Shepherd. This is another rare one friends so enjoy it exclusively here on Sounds Like Radio's Library of Sound!! The Shadow has returned to the Library of Sound (LOS) Volume 298. And just in time as today the Shadow faces "The Black Buddha" as it was originally heard September 4, 1938. Orson Welles, the first of the men to play the Shadow is featured in today's show. Danger lurks and so does Your Humble Host as he hides behind the curtains. Well, I just don't want to spoil the Shadow's fun, that's all.

Your Humble Host is here with Volume 163 of Sounds Like Radio! Today we find the Great Gildersleeve trying to help Marjorie & Bronco get a $2000 loan to finish construction on their house. Where to go? Ahh, how about Bullard, he's loaded BUT wait a minute Bullard and Gildy can't stand each other. Now that's what I call a flaw in the slaw with this plan.

But somehow or another Your Humble Host and his buddies here will come up with a solution. Why to help cogitate on this we have Rosemary Clooney (as seen in our picture with this show displaying all her goodies she has to offer to get Bullard to come to Gildy's house) also with us are Burl Ives, Dinah Washington, Bing Crosby, Peggy Lee, Ink Spots and Jimmy Durante. With this brain trust we just gotta come up with an idea for Marjorie.
