Jacqueline Castel is a film director. Her collaborators have included Jim Jarmusch, David Lynch, and Zola Jesus. She recently released her first first feature film - My Animal - starring Bobbi Salvor Menuez, Amandla Stenberg and Stephen McHattie. It was released on September 8th.

Lance Henriksen is an icon in the world of genre film. Fans know him best as Bishop in the Alien franchise. He has also appeared as Frank in both The X-Files and Millennium. He co-stars in the new film On Fire, which comes out on September 29th.

Greg and Caitriona are actors and performers who are both appearing in Theatre Under The Stars production of The Prom. Inspired by the true story of Constance MacMillan, The Prom follows two queer teenagers and their mission to bring a same-gendered date to prom. The story was adapted into a Netflix film featuring James Corden and Meryl Strep, among others.

This year, The Prom will be featured alongside Matilda: The Musical at Theatre Under The Stars, which runs until August 26th, at the Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park.

Erica Daniels is a Cree/Ojibway filmmaker from the Peguis First Nation. Her previous short film, Run As One, won two Golden Sheaf Awards at the Yorkton Film Festival. She has also received a Canadian Screen Award Nominee. Her documentary Coming Home (Wanna Icipus Kupi) - her feature debut - is a companion piece to the TV series Little Birds, and examines not only the making of of the show, but also its themes, including the Sixties Scoop, indigenous resistance, and narrative sovereignty. The film premieres June 30th of APTN and Crave, in conjunction with the season finale of Little Birds.

Perry Chafe is an author, television writer, producer, and songwriter. He co-created and was the showrunner of Republic of Doyle, which starred Allan Hawco and ran for six seasons. Additionally, he was a writer and producer on the Netflix/Discovery show Frontier starring Jason Momoa, and was an executive producer on the CBC limited series Caught. Currently, he is a writer and producer on the hit CBC comedy series Son Of A Critch, which is currently in production on its third season. Recently, Perry released his first novel Closer By The Sea. He talks about the differences between writing for television and writing books, his memories of working with Russell Crowe, Jason Momoa, and Malcolm McDowell, and what to expect on Son Of A Critch season 3. Closer By The Sea was released on May 23rd.

Jeanette Walls is an award-winning journalist and author whose memoir The Glass Castle was on the New York Times Bestseller list for a record 421 weeks and was later adapted into a feature film starring Naomi Watts and Woody Harrelson. Her latest book Hang The Moon - her third novel - was released in March and was also recently optioned for a future film.

Sam Karney is an indigenous filmmaker and co-founder of Ice Rivers Films. A cinematographer by trade, he turns the cameras on himself - and his father - in the new documentary travel series Nation Untamed, which premieres on May 27 on APTN.

Jemima Khan is renowned journalist and documentary filmmaker who has contributed to The New Statesman, Vanity Fair, The Independent, Sunday Times, British Vogue, among others. She has also worked on the documentaries The Clinton Affair, The Case Against Adnan Syed, We Steal Secrets, as well as being a producer on the third season of Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story. She recently wrote the cross-cultural romantic comedy What's Love Got To Do With it? starring Lily James and Emma Thompson. It will be released in North America on May 5th.

Her credits include Sleepover, Halloween and Apache Nation, as well as a litany of television credits. Her latest film is The Best Man - opposite Brendan Fehr, Luke Wilson and Dolph Lundgren. It was released on April 21st.

Bill Reid was a renowned Haida artist specializing in sculpture, painting, jewelry and screen-printing. Now, 25 years after his death, the gallery bearing his name is running Bright Futures, which features selections from the gallery's permanent collection, along with works by 14 up-and-coming artists from the Northwest Coast. It runs from April 26, 2023- January 14th, 2024. Curator Beth Carter and Assistant Curator Aliya Boubard talked about the event
