The most valuable skills right now, have less to do with the job and more to do with how well you adapt. The Future Me Podcast aims to explore humans skills, how we can put them into practise and what resources we can turn to for embedment. This podcast will welcome experts from all over the world to explore different corners of Human Skills.

Melanie Wood is a Speaker, Coach, and Business Owner at Speaking Styles currently living in Brisbane QLD, Australia. Melanie helps people to to become authentic communicators to by empower others, inspiring teams and change Lives. Melanie founded Speaking Styles an organisation passionate about helping individuals and teams with Public Speaking, Storytelling and Soft Skills Training. In overcoming her own fear of public speaking, Melanie decided it was time to tackle many of her fears, including public speaking. After experiencing bullying in the workplace and abuse in her previous marriage, it took a lot of courage and a lot of help, through coaching, mentoring and practice. Melanie finally breaking through and overcoming fear, saw the real benefit to storytelling, public speaking and communicating with people.

One of the key learnings she has had with her clients is working from the inside out to become an Authentic Communicator. Giving people the tools to be themselves, have that inner confidence and compassion for themselves and others, through communication. Melanie is now on a mission to help others share their story, stand up and stand in out in their business, workplace or cause to help others to Empower, Inspire Change.

Rosalind Cardinal BIO

When she was growing up, Ros wanted to be a vet or a scientist, but her fascination with human behaviour and neuroscience led her to a career in organisational development, specialising in improving business outcomes by developing individuals, teams and organisations. After more than 20 years in corporate human resources and organisational development roles, a successful battle with cancer gave Ros the nudge to take her passion for transforming leaders and improving how individuals and organisations cope with change in a new direction. Leaving her senior corporate role in 2012, Ros established her consulting business, Shaping Change, to achieve her goals. Ros is a solution and results oriented facilitator, with expertise spanning strategic planning, leadership development, organisational culture, change management, emotional intelligence and employee engagement. She is also a talented executive and leadership coach, with current coaching clients at executive and senior levels in Government agencies, private enterprise and the community sector. Recently, Ros felt compelled to look deeply at the differences in the leadership styles of men and women. The result was the Women’s Leadership Archetypes model, now being used worldwide by women to discover how they can better leverage their natural strengths to lead with purpose, authenticity and integrity.
