O.C.Y. I SEE WHY #8: LOVE CAN OVERCOME HATE
9m · PublishedLOVE CAN OVERCOME HATE
Gandhi said it best "Hatred can be overcome only by love"
I agree wholeheartedly with that statement, but I think we need to start with self-love first.
The way you love yourself is the way the you love others. The way you treat yourself is the way you treat others. The way you love yourself is the way you teach others to love you.
Virtually every injustice in this world would cease to exist if everyone loved themselves to the fullest extent, void of haughtiness & narcissism but with true self-worth, self-belief, and self-love.
When you love yourself you do not mistreat others, you do not put down or bully others bc you do not feel the need to fill superior. When you have self-love you do not steal or harm others for your personal gain bc you know that "stuff" can not fill a void, it must come from within. When you have self-love and have positive self-talk you listen to others and seek understanding not just to be "right". When you have self-love you go after your dreams with your whole heart and all your might, but are satisfied no matter the outcome bc you know you are enough and that your true worth & wealth comes from an amalgamation of how your treat yourself and others. .
I don't know what the world needs, but I know it starts with me and I'm going to start with loving myself so that I have more love to give.
Remember-Be Kind To Yourself.
