Making Masks for Those in Need: 20000 and Counting...

As COVID-19 cases rise, so does mutual aid effort launched at UC Berkeley. Students and community members have established the Common Humanity Collective, producing and distributing hand sanitizer and face masks to help the needy during the pandemic. To date, the group has already dispatched enough sanitizer for more than 120,000 people and nearly 20,000 high-grade face masks of its own design, including to Central Valley farmworkers, Louisiana hurricane victims and the Navajo Nation in Arizona and Utah.
