Does Your Content Need to Have a Niche?

7m · Published 02 Dec 02:08

I thought the only way to be successful online was to choose a niche. So I tried to figure out what my niche was but it freaked me out because I didn’t want to choose wrong. Ironically, trying to pick the right niche was distracting me from doing the exact things that would have helped me get more clarity: namely, creating content. I didn’t have enough data coming in, so I constantly felt stuck. In the episode I talk about

  • Why you don't NEED a Niche
  • Problems from having niche
  • Results of possibly locking yourself into a niche

Starting My Blog Led Me To My Best Friend

7m · Published 15 Nov 19:14

Freshman year I started my blog called, Brianna’s Bandwagon. I didn’t think much of it at first but now I am happy to say it has been one of the best decisions.  It has become my platform to tell my story.   I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten Instagram direct messages from my own classmates about how they read my blog posts and how inspired they are. However, one particular message led to me finding my best friend. I didn’t even know of her presence but apparently she went to the same school. Without my blog, I would have never connected with her. I am proud to say that to this day I have my best friend because of my blog and presence on social media. Listen to the episode to find out the whole story.

Protecting my Mental Health as a Content Creator

8m · Published 30 Sep 13:00

Spending hours creating content on a regular basis can be stressful, believe it or not. In episode 11 I talk about how responsibilities that come with being a content creator have taken a toll. I share stories from the time when  famous YouTubers started stepping away from the platform, citing mental health issues. I discuss how I once again being ambitious, had to stop and rethink my own priorities in my social media roles after taking on the role as the owner for a creator community instagram account.

It All Started With A Cough

16m · Published 15 Sep 06:02
In episode 10, I talk about my personal story of how I started having a cough and breathing issues that eventually persisted and went on for at least a year. I went to my pediatricians who first told me it was just acid reflux, Next it was dismissed as allergies.  Yet I knew better than to accept that answer. I went through 3 specialist over the course of many months until I finally had answers! It was not the answer anyone wants to hear but it was an answer. My life was about to change drastically.  Pura Vida Discount Code: BRIANNAMARIE20 Instagram Post Blog Post _________________________________________________________ Find the Podcast on Social Media Website: https://briannasbandwagonpod.wordpress.com/ Facebook: @briannasbandwagon.pod Instagram: @briannasbandwagon.pod _________________________________________________________ Credits Host, Producer & Editor: Brianna Marie --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/briannasbandwagon/message

Grades Don't Define You

4m · Published 30 Aug 13:00

In episode 9, I talk about grades and the pressure it puts on students. We let grades determine our happiness, our ability, or the future of our success. Trust me I have been there. I believe people and society are so focused on whether someone is smart, that they lose focus on the person and their true qualities as they are in human being. The grades shouldn’t matter. (but you should still try and care a tiny bit : just put the best effort you can) When you die, your transcript won’t be on your headstone, and neither will your job title or your net worth. But the things that will live on are worth so much more than an A or an F. Just because someone gets an “A” in a class or a higher class, doesn’t define their intelligence. If something comes up in the future they can’t accomplish they may not have the perseverance to do it as much as someone who worked so hard to improve their lower grades.

The Pressure to Be Productive

6m · Published 15 Aug 05:06
In Episode 8, I discuss how  If you have known me and been following me for a while. You know I have created a pretty consistent schedule for my blog and my youtube channel.   I am creative so that is what I do. I recently realized I really am constantly creating. Whether that’s a blog post, video, photo, design, painting, story, etc. I have many projects going on why? Society craves productivity. If you are not productive in life with projects-heck even your job you are seen as a failure in society. However, a little secret is that you don't have to do everything and you shouldn't feel guilty about the things you can’t/are not able to do. Taking a step back does not mean you will fail, it means you are presenting yourself a little room to truly live. I think you can be a go-getter without sacrificing your sanity. Time is valuable, so why not live it to the fullest, rather than being occupied by a constant state of stress. I will explain some tips for balancing your productivity and time for yourself.
