Hello, and welcome to Episode One of the Holistic Weight Loss podcast.

I'm Christina, and today I'm going to talk to you about why you should listen to this podcast, what you can expect to learn and how you can use what I'm going to share to improve your own health and wellness.

But before I discuss that, I just want to share a little bit of background information about myself.

I started working as a naturopath specialising in weight loss in 2012. and At the time, I was mainly using nutrition plans and herbal medicine to help my clients achieve their goals.

This approach worked well most of the time, but occasionally I would see a client who needed something else. So in 2016, after spending quite some time searching for what that something else could be. I decided to Introduce hypnotherapy and NLP into my practice to create a complete Mind Body approach to health and weight loss.

Since adopting this mind body approach the results I seem clinic have dramatically improved. And now, when I meet a client for the first time, I feel incredibly confident that I do have the tools I need, to help them improve their health and to change their behaviours so they can lose the weight and most importantly, keep that weight off long term.

During a consult, I assist my clients to achieve their outcomes by providing them with accountability, support and education.

I see a lot of people who are feeling completely overwhelmed with all of the health and weight loss information that they see online or in the media so by the time they come to see me they are feeling incredibly confused and unsure about what to do next.

So I want to use this podcast as a way to share reliable information. For a lot of people, weight gain is just a symptom of a deeper issue, and a lot of people struggle to shift weight despite eating less and moving more, so I want to explore some of the potential reasons why that occurs and I want to provide you with practical tips and guidance so you can make an empowered and well informed choice about your health.

Over the next few episodes we will be looking at what common imbalances cause stubborn weight gain, how to identify if you have one of those imbalances and most importantly, what to do about it. We will discuss different styles of eating and how to choose a style of eating or a "diet" that will work best for you and how to turn that diet into a lifestyle to ensure you create positive changes for life.

In future episodes we will also take a look at some of the mental and emotional issues that can hold us back from achieving a healthy weight, and how to change your mind set about food and eating.

So if you're tired of yo-yo dieting, losing weight and gaining it all back and your curious about what actually causes weight gain and prevents you from achieving and maintaining your healthy weight then I believe you are going to get a lot of value out of this podcast!
