In this episode we talked about placenta consumption postpartum. She speaks to the properties of the placenta from a TCM perspective, and expresses concerns with how the hormones in the placenta can interfere with hormones needed for breastfeeding. I share about my positive experience consuming my placenta, and I left this conversation understanding that a lot better. This episode does not give a clear one-size-fits-all answer, but it provides a lot of information if this is something you are considering.
