Healthcare Advocacy in 3 Easy Steps
12m · PublishedHave you had an experience like this? You or your aging parents gets health tests or scans done and it's like an act of Congress to 1) get the provider's office to explain what the results mean and 2) know what the next steps are.
I have a very recent story about this in my own life so I thought I would share. Also, this experience reminded me of a few simple steps I take to be my own best healthcare advocate, and these steps can work for you and your aging parents too.
The reality of the current healthcare system is that we have to remain vigilant for our own best care and decisions - making healthcare decisions is hard b/c there are a lot of factors involved and we are all different wonderful humans! No one size fits all answer works! This also kinda sucks because we are not all specialists in everything health related!!!
With these few steps you can really help yourself and your loved ones get the answers you need.
Would love to connect!
