Ep. 36 Subconscious Work with Andrea Brown

59m · Published 05 Oct 20:57

Cally, Mar, and Andi are back together with Holistic Women's Health Coach Andrea Brown. This conversation is based on the idea of shaping our subconscious brains so that we can be better people and contribute to a better world. The women talk in depth about their own experiences and practices with subconscious work and how it helps them grow, as everyday situations come up.

Andrea brings an amazing perspective, as always, that sheds light on the importance of detachment when entering into tough conversations, as well as the importance of speaking and conversing from a place of truth and love and how to practice that daily. She also opens up about her own timeline with when she first started doing subconscious work and seeing the value it holds.

The ladies ask each other a few hard hitting questions and each take their turn answering and giving honest feedback. They quote a few gurus, namely Joe Dispenza, a neuroscientist who wrote a book called Becoming Supernatural, all about how to train the subconscious parts of our brain. They reference the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and they highly recommend both of these reads.

The episode wraps up with tips and ideas for how to work on your own subconscious mind, body, and soul every single day. We strongly encourage you to take on this work as we believe it is imperative to the health, wellness, and survival of our world. Thank you so much for listening and being apart of our journey. We appreciate you so deeply.

Ep. 35 Toxic Masculinity with Michael Valdez

1h 20m · Published 20 Sep 17:51

This episode is centered around personal experiences with Toxic Masculinity. The Sol Women are joined by their friend Mike to talk about all of their own unique perspectives on how men are raised in our society. Mike is a Social Worker, a leader in his community, consistently working on himself internally and externally, and an overall genuine human being. The girls are honored to have him speak on this episode and gain a male perspective on a very important topic.

TRIGGER WARNING: there are some words used in this episode that can cause emotional responses, they are used simply to explain examples of the way our society chooses to misuse certain terms when describing men who are in touch with their emotions. They are used to bring further awareness to this topic.

The documentary that is discussed is called The Mask You Live In. It's a highly recommended film.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErOHoTHBf7Q

Mike brings an authentic and vulnerable view point on what it's like to be a man who has done the work to better himself in order to bring goodness into this world. He talks about where his awareness came from and what experiences shaped him into the man he is today. The girls ask questions regarding how he was able to make changes or stay away from being influenced by toxic masculinity. This episode provides a call-to-action energy and touches on the severity of the harm being done by those who are choosing to emulate or enable toxic behaviors in our country and our world.

We appreciate you listening to this episode and as always, we love to hear your feedback!

Ep. 34 Seasons of Spirituality

55m · Published 30 Aug 04:13

This episode the women talk about what to do when you notice you're falling out of your spiritual practice or self care routine, or what to do when you're in a phase where you have less time for yourself. Andi talks about finding the little moments of gratitude throughout each day and practicing becoming mindful of those smaller, but important moments. Cally's quote of the episode is, "pain is inevitable, suffering is an option," and speaks on some of her breath work training and mentions a couple different exercises you can do easily at home to find calmness through breath. The girls talk about being afraid of vulnerability and why society has such a stigma with showing emotions and feelings.

They talk about coming home to themselves and why it's important to slow down and live in moment. Mar talks about her daily practice with manifestations and why they are sometimes more important during certain times and phases in life. She brings up the 8 manifestations of ego, setting intentions, and the girls elaborate on how each individual person requires unique maintenance and how finding your own routines and practices is really what healing and growing are all about.

They finish up with talking about "seasons of spirituality," utilizing downtime to prepare for the busy times, and prioritizing what is necessary. The girls reiterate the importance of allowing grace, letting go of judgment, and they bring up the importance of not taking themselves so seriously. As always, there is a call to action for you as the listener at the end of the episode.

Andddddd if you listen all the way to the last second, you'll get to hear a goofy ass behind the scenes blooper of Andi losing her mind from exhaustion while Mar and Cally make fun of her. LOL WE LOVE YOU. Thank you for being apart of this journey.

xoxo

Ep. 31 Calling Out Self-Awareness as Wellness Practitioners

31m · Published 06 Jul 22:23

Are you an empath? Are you a Wellness leader in your community? Do you have people who look to you to help teach them how to live a life of health and wellness? Do you believe in helping others? This episode is for you. The Sol Women have some serious topics to discuss and they are here to call out each other and other (specifically white) Wellness Practitioners during this time. They talk about the role as someone who is on a self-work journey and how the main goal is about helping others. They are working to use their platform in a way to benefit those in need and better amplify voices that are being oppressed.

This is an act of love from the Sol Women to create an open space for real and impactful conversations regarding Black lives, People of Color, LGBTQ communities, those being abused, and those who are not properly educating themselves on what is happening in our world. We are all connected and cannot be free until all humans are free. When our fellow human's rights are taken, when their voices are taken, as a whole we are silenced. Those who have the ability to speak up and give a voice to those being silenced, please start using your platform to do so. This is a call to action. It's time to step up. It's long overdue!

If you have questions, comments, concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us! We are always here with open arms and hearts to discuss any topics that you feel are necessary. In the meantime there are some links below that you can choose to educate yourself with! We love you.
