Chronic illness impacts not only our physical health, but our mental health as well. The lifestyle changes, dietary changes, relational changes, and more can lead to feelings of isolation, depression, anxiety. Individuals can also go through traumatic experiences amidst those changes and during the process of diagnosis and treatment, which can lead to PTSD.
