When you have an idea you just can’t shake, that’s a surefire sign you’re destined to bring that idea to life. Put away misgivings of what could go wrong and what others might think—just make it happen.

Jane Park, the founder of Tokki, did just that. Both of her businesses have been based on important messages she wants to share with the world. It all started back when she and her family immigrated to the United States from Korea while she was still very young. That experience literally pushed her to find her voice in all parts of her life. Navigating between the culture she grew up with and her new culture here in the US has proved to be similar to finding her way in new business experiences. What first seems foreign later becomes second nature when you learn to adapt by immersion and commit yourself to learning everything you can along the way.

You can literally ask her anything and feel cared for and safe, Rue Khosa is a pioneer in Seattle who is an advocate for changing everything from healthcare, the treatment of women, and the role you get to play as a new mother. As a medical practitioner for 10 years she changed paths to create a safe space for women to really feel cared for and to provide the best childbirth experience. We get to talk about how to deal with mom guilt, when to find emotional support during your pregnancy, and why there’s been a huge shift towards natural birth and breastfeeding.

Today's special guest is Desiree Hartsock. Her whole career has revolved around the industry of love beginning with helping brides find their perfect dress as a bridal stylist. You might also know her as the girl next door Bachelorette from season 9 but she's also an author of wedding planning book ‘My fairytale wedding’ and now the owner and bridal gown designer of Desiree Hartsock Bridal.

What really made this interview special is the fact that Desiree had her little one with her. Zander is only a few months old and he was ready to get in on our conversation too! Having him present really tied into our conversation about growing your business in the midst of change. As I am waiting for my first baby, it's been super motivating being around mom's that continue moving towards their vision. It becomes more of accomplishing more in little spurts of time and using any free time wisely. You can't see but during the interview she had to breastfeed the baby and take care of her dog. It's reassuring to see that moms have super powers to run businesses and take care of life at home.
