Divorce Tech & Co-Parenting App - Our Family Wizard, w/ James Evans

30m · Published 21 Apr 11:00

Hey Listeners 👋,

Tech can be helpful or it can be a hinderance during a divorce or separation! In this episode of The Divorce Coaching Podcast, I talk to James Evans, Professional Liaison at Our Family Wizard... a very helpful bit of tech for divorcing / separating co-parents 📲

James kindly talks us through some of the vast functionality of the OFW App, we cover a number of real-life everyday situations and circumstances can assist with:
- Who is the App for? 1 parent? Both parents? The Kids? Your Lawyer? Grandparents? Even your Dog Walker!
- "Tonemeter" that can help to reduce contentious messages, inflammatory language, etc. It's recorded, it's accountable, it's date/time stamped, "spell check for your emotions"
- Build in-app parenting schedules
- Request changes to schedules
- Funds transfer, for maintenance, school trips, etc
- Streamline and Centralise ALL your co-parenting needs. Thus lessening and potentially removing the use of and being impacted by your Whatsapp, your email, texts etc all pinging all the time.
- Court - Yes the court can appoint the use of OFW in your child arrangement order!
- Tracking & IP (techy stuff), the app can pinpoint your IP address to show if you have/have not received/read messages. And be presented to the court if needed.
- Lawyer Support - your lawyer(s) can also have an access should they need to for legal implications or challenging legal situations between you and your co-parent.
- Parallel Parenting - It's not just for Co-Parents, it's also very useful for those who are Parallel Parenting where there is little to no contact.

To find out more about Our Family Wizard App and how this could be useful to you, your co-parent and your children, get in touch with James or myself and we can help you to learn more and get setup.

Dispute Resolution & Your Divorce!? w/ Corinne Parke, Child & Child Family Law - Ep23

36m · Published 07 Mar 09:00

Hey Listeners 👋,

"Do I HAVE to go to Court?"... A question I get asked all the time as a Divorce Coach. The answer to this question ends up going down the rabbit the hole of what we call DR, Dispute Resolution (also known as ADR=Alternative DR, NCDR=Non-Court DR).

Another Divorce Coaching Podcast episode and another Divorce Myth Dispelled 🧙...

In this episode, Fay & I have a lovely chat with Corinne Parke, Family Law Partner at Law Firm, Child & Child.

Corinne & I (Tom) work together and are part of the "City of London Collaborative Law Pod" for Resolution.org. Corinne possesses a wealth of knowledge in the Family Law sector, and helps Fay & I unearth some myths that many people facing a divorce / separation may find themselves wondering... Do they have to go to court?
What other option are available to them other than expensive and emotionally draining litigation?
Has their lawyer even advised them or informed them about alternatives to court?
Has "Joe & Jane Public" ever even heard of Dispute Resolution?
What is DR?
What falls under DR other than just Mediation...? Well it turns out, quite a out actually.
We scratch the surface on your options of DR such as Arbitration? Collaborative Law and more.

We hope this episode was informative and useful, we also hope it brings you knowledge and the opportunity to become better informed, now having ideas of how to keep you, your ex and your family out of the lengthy and heart wrenching situation of litigation through the courts.

Fay & I 💗 to hear your thoughts, comments and questions, so please drop us a like 👍🏽, comment 💻 & share 📲 for others to find and enjoy.

You can get in touch with Corinne Parke directly at Child & Child or locate her anywhere online. Failing that, drop me (Tom) a message and I'll put you in touch.

Thank you for listening 🎧

Parental Alienation - The Facts, The Truth, The Reality - Divorce Myths Dispelled, Divorce Coaching Podcast

40m · Published 06 Dec 11:00

Hey 👋,

Welcome to another episode of The Divorce Coaching Podcast...

Fay & I are on little mission to dispel some Divorce Myths!?... And bring you, the viewers, some hard facts and detailed truths from industry professionals.

This episode is all about Parental Alienation.
What it is? Both how it is defined in terminology & how to spot it.
Did you know there are 3 main types of Parental Alienation!
We ask questions like "do the kids have a voice?"
"Can you get a psychological assessment if you feel your situation is deemed severe?"
How do you demonstrate and prove that you are experiencing alienation?
What you can ask your children and how you can show them you are present in their lives and want to be.
How does it start? Can it be a subtle gradual thing? Or is it out-rightly obvious.
What is "sibling alienation"?

Our guest, Jeetesh Patel, is an expert Family Lawyer at Laurus Law. He works in many areas of Family Law including adoption and surrogacy. But he is also well known for his expertise in the field of parental alienation.

We pick Jeetesh's wonderful mind and extensive professional experience to answer a whole host of real-life and scenario based questions about Parental Alienation.

Have a watch/listen and let us know what you think?

Have a question for Jeetesh or want to work with him... Let us know and we'll happily put you in contact :)

As always, thanks for watching and listening.
