Divorced Muslim Dad Podcaster talks w/ x2 Divorce Coaches

45m · Published 29 Jun 10:00

Divorce, Separation, Relationship Break-Up or any other label that suits your situation, can happen to literally anyone!

It can affect any family, any individual, at any time in life, no matter where you live, what you do for a living, what your religious beliefs are or are not.

Divorce and separation does not discriminate against your age, ethnicity, societal life status, sexual orientation or indeed against anything!

In this episode (9) of the Divorce Coaching Podcast, Fay & I talk to my new Insta & Clubhouse BFF, Imran Azam, aka "Divorce Muslim Dad" podcaster.

If you have never come across Imran and his podcast before, I implore you to go listen to it right now.

Not only has he got one of the coolest podcasting voicers I've ever heard (and I listen to a lot of them!), he has so much wisdom, such insightful experiences that are so raw and engagingly honest.

Imran talks about his self reflection, first dates way back when, what he felt was a "low-key form of denial" he was going through and how he felt the line of "we're done" was blurred for him.

We ask questions about how his experience has developed over the years, relationship with his ex, kids, and more. Impacts on cultural and community situations within the Asian community. Impacts on his faith, if any, and soooo much more.

You can find his podcast on all major channels, simply search "Divorce Muslim Dad". Or follow Imran on Instagram @moiazam

As always, we love to hear your thoughts, comments, questions and if you have a topic you want discussed on the DCP or maybe you want to share your story / experiences, personal or professional, please get in touch.

Thanks for watching

Nutrition & Divorce / Separation - Ep11 DCP - You Are What You Eat?!

41m · Published 29 Jun 10:00

"You are what you eat" Or are you?
Or more importantly for our audience, does what you eat affect your divorce? How you'll act?
How you'll feel?

We thought we'd ask a Pro so we talked to Saffron Rogerson, a Nutritional Therapist from www.thislifenutrition.co.uk

We've likely all thought an ex was nuts... but I'd never thought that eating them (nuts not my ex!) could impact so much both physically, mentally & emotionally.

Have a watch and tell us your thoughts... comments below 👇

We're also now on Spotify for those that just want to listen, simply search Divorce Coaching Podcast, and Apple is being created as I type :)

WTF is a Divorce Coach??? A Client Asked... So we Answered - DCP Ep10

26m · Published 29 Jun 10:00

Divorce Coach? or Divorce Coaching?...

Questions:
* What is it?
* What do they do?
* How does it work?
* How can it help me?
* What sort of things can they help with?
* Who should I work with?
* When should I work with one?

Or as a recent enquiry eloquently put it... "WTF is a Divorce Coach?" 🤔

Fay & I thought it might be useful to recap on our very first episode (Ep1 Introductions), now that we're a little more familiar (and not bricking it being on video lol).

We also talk about the different types of Divorce Coach that are out there, how each differ from each other and have different styles and approaches.

So if you ever wondered what a Divorce Coach is? How they work? What they do and work with you on?.. Listen to this 👍

Thanks for listening

Eitherway, still an interesting topic regardless of lockdowns or not.

As always, Fay & I talk about our own experiences, ups & downs, learning and adapting. None of us are perfect, we're al human, we even talk bring up real life situations such as haircuts!! Divorce & Family Law - w/ Pui Uro @ Hunter Uro Solicitors - Ep4

1h 1m · Published 29 Jun 09:00

Recorded and posted on YT in Jan 2021 for New Year New You....

Episode 4 brings you a very special guest, a fantastic and hugely knowledgeable Family Law professional here in the UK, Pui Uro, Director of Hunter & Uro Solicitors, someone I partner with closely to support her clients emotional wellbeing and mindset.

Given the time of year (New Years Eve), we thought that some practical insights from the Family Law world might be very useful for all our viewers, especially as so called "Divorce Day" is upon us (the first working day of the year when many think there is a spike in divorce / separation applications).

As ever, both Fay & I bring you insights, tips and of course our personal experiences of our own. As does Pui, a family lawyer who herself has also been through this challenging life situation , so has walked the same paths we all have / are.

This episode also focus on new starts, and a new you, or as I prefer to look at it... an improved you, your best version of you, a happier and true you.

Enjoy, if you have any questions, thoughts, comments or even better topics you wish for Fay & I to discuss, please get in touch with us or post here in the comments. Our contact info will pop up at the end of the video as usual.

Infidelity, Affairs & Divorce - What's it like to cheat? Be cheated on? How & Why? - Ep6 Divorce Coaching Podcast

49m · Published 29 Jun 09:00

Welcome back (or welcome to DCP if this is your first time here), this week's topic is a potentially controversial, difficult and contentious one!...

#Infidelity & #Affairs 😨

Fay & I are discussing all things infidelity & affairs related, as always from both of our personal experiences but also professional input.

Fay won't mind me saying (its on the clip anyway lol) that she has been on the receiving end of being cheated on, not once but twice in both her marriages! I on the other hand have been the cheater  😬 and had an affair towards the end of marriage. I am with that person now and very happy of course, but we do dive into some of the why's? when's? "cause & effect" scenarios that led to these situations.

I was quite apprehensive about this one to be 100% honest... What if everyone now hates me, I'm going to get a lot of sh*t from people for being such a horrible person, just another cheating ar**hole man right!?

Wrong, and this is my favourite saying of late... "Not ALL leavers are bastards"! Some are yes, but not all.

🤞 you all enjoy this one, it was great fun making it and the honesty just flowed from both of us.

As always, we love to hear your thoughts, comments, questions or indeed topics/sub-topics you'd like to suggest.
