BEST OF TOO POSH "Live with Grace" $10.000 Scholarship to a Booker T Senior in honor of Grace Loncar

55m · Published 20 Dec 23:46
When Sue Loncar was in total despair, after the death of her 16 year old daughter and her husband within days of each other she felt hopeless with no idea
what to do next.
Her best friend of many years Libby, told her she was going to run the "Grace Loncar Foundation", which she started immediately, filed all the paperwork
and they had their first meeting 2 weeks after Grace was gone.
www.graceloncarfoundation.com
A big reason for the foundation is to end the stigma because people do not want to talk about it. Suicide has increased by 70% in the last 10 years and is the
number 2 death for ages 10 - 34.
We learn about an incredible program called "Hope Squad" that was created by someone from Utah and they are trying to get it into all schools.
Shockingly they are getting a lot of resistance because schools are afraid it will give students ideas. The foundation is even offering to pay for the counselors
and the training.
Sue and her oldest daughter Sally speak at many events.
They also provide care cards that have all the suicide warning signs on them.
The reach of the foundation is all over the country.
Sue believes that it is mostly impulse control with teenagers, and she believes that even though Grace was depressed her suicide was out of impulse because she
was mad. Their frontal lobe is not all the way developed yet.

Sue made the difficult decision to have an open casket at Grace's funeral, because she wanted the reality to sink in with Grace's friends that this is what suicide looks
like. Not all family members were in agreement with this decision but Sue thought it would be important and her passion is to try to save lives.
Sue talks passionately about mental health.

She tells us that they call people "Suicide Survivors" because it is a double whammy to overcome - because not only do you lose your loved one, but then people
blame you. The surviving person gets looked at like it is their fault.
Sue says that sometimes it is better to call a friend than calling a hotline, but of course to call someone is the most important.
Younger people don't feel they can trust their friends because they get let down so often.

Sue wishes that she could snap out of her deep grief, because she doesn't want it to define her, but she doesn't know how to.
She tells us that they try to celebrate Grace's life and focus on all that was amazing about her and not how she died.
She would give everything for just one more day!

BEST OF TOO POSH "The Day Your Heart Stopped Is The Day My Heart Broke" ..... 1 Breath At A Time - Sue Loncar

27m · Published 14 Dec 01:53
Part 3 of Miss Sue Loncar's brave testimony about her daughter's suicide and her husbands overdose deaths takes us through "the day of the worst day of her life".
Sue believes that Grace had no intentions to kill herself that night because she had gone to the mall, bought candles and planned to go to a party the next day.
She thought that she had actually been doing a lot better than before.
Sue says that Teenagers confide in their friends that they want to commit suicide, but usually not to anyone else.
Sue was always the disciplinarian but the night of Grace's death both her and Brian took Grace's phone because she had gotten in trouble. It was not a harsh punishment and
she was supposed to get her phone back the next morning.
Sue stayed with Grace until 4 am to talk everything through and to make sure she was ok.
When she woke up at 11 am and went to Grace's room she found her dead on the floor with a gunshot wound to her head.
Sue's first reaction was to sit her up and will her back to life.
Bravely Sue talks about all the next horrible moments. She was in shock and laid with her dead daughter until the police made her leave.
2 days after Grace's funeral on the next Sunday she was waiting on Brian to meet her in church but he didn't show up, because he had overdosed and by the
time Sue got to the hospital her husband was dead.
In complete shock she could not even comprehend what was happening.
She has been robbed from being able to share memories of her daughter with him who loved her as much as she did. She has to walk this painful road all alone.
She says she knows what it feels like to want to die. Her saving Grace have been God and her other children because she does not want to harm them anymore.
Sue says she is a changed person - everything is tinged with terrible sadness.
She had to learn to make it one breath at a time, 30 minutes at a time, 1 hour at a time ..................

#302: JUSTIN JOHNSON / ALYSSA EDWARDS "RAW AND REAL - Dance Will Forever Be A Part Of Me" Part 3

42m · Published 30 Nov 00:09
This episode gets even more raw and real ...........

We talk a lot about Dancing Queen the Netflix Series behind the scenes - The Moms that were always ready to challenge the teachers and especially Marcella.
Justin talks about young Moms being stage parents and that they are great for TV. He talks about Riley's Mom being outraged about Marcella being too sexy and wearing thigh high boots -
which in turn Justin shows that Mom a photo of himself in thigh high boots and asks her Why are you not outraged about me?

We talk about Justin being the special guest performer in the World Pride Parade and 6 year old Ainsley dancing with him. He says that reality TV always has something dangling over you.

Then Justin talks about his dancer Leah from Beyond Belief Dance Company, who also starred in Dancing Queen being truly one of his Heroes.
She has beat all the odds - being a child with spina bifida who was told she probably wouldn't walk and here she is not only walking but singing and dancing in the new pop group XOMG.
The group was created by JoJo Siwa.
Leah has had over 35 day surgeries and 40 overnight surgeries. She has said to the doctors that "DANCE GIVES HER A REASON TO LIVE".

The people at the studio are his tribe and they have become family because they have believed in him. Justin says that it is okay to tell your tribe some hard truths sometimes. We agree that it is
easier for men studio owners to put dance parents in their place.
He says that he has had to apply tough love and eliminate people - several of the families that were a part of Dancing Queen. They weren't a great fit in the end and he knows they will find a
better place for them where they fit and they will be more celebrated.

Reality TV creates stars - Kardashians are like the Royal Family of America off Reality Television and a sex tape.

We ask Justin who is a worldwide global superstar how he stays committed to this small dance studio in Mesquite TX.

Then Justin opens up about his new relationship with Steve. He gets very candid and tells us how they fell in love. He says he held a global Tinder audition for Steve and that he found THE ONE.
We learn about their first date and the NY Times "ARE YOU COMPATIBLE" 50 questions.

We truly look at Justin as our family and we agree that we are supposed to meet people for a reason.

Justin felt like he truly did it after he finished his 53 cities tour with this LIFE, LOVE AND LASHES Solo Show. He brought Hollywood to Mesquite. We talk about the incredible opening night of the show
in Dallas TX, that we were blessed to be at and the incredible Broadway Review he received.

Then he shares the story about his father on season 5 of the Ru Paul Drag Race and how incredibly emotional that moment was. It was so impactful and finding that peace and serenity and fast forwarding
to now he truly has the happily ever after!!

At the end of the show we create a Matchmaking reality TV Show for Marcella and Justin being the Matchmaker.

Justin's book of life has been written and is just now being read out loud. What a true Hero he is.

38m · Published 23 Nov 02:51
He tells us about being the Vanessa Williams of Drag - winning Miss America and getting dethroned - this caused him to log off the internet and trying to make the best of it. Then Shangela got on Ru Paul's Drag Race
and told Justin that he has to go on that show, but he didn't think he could do it.
Justin has so much respect for Ru Paul and calls him the pioneer that opened all these opportunities worldwide.
Justin was worried that his dance kids and parents would think of him weirdly if he went on the show.

When the producer called to audition Justin - he was shocked and told them they can google him and they surely googled "AMERICA's QUEEN". They kept bringing up that he was dethroned and if
he knows Coco Montrese the person that took over the crown. He said he never heard of him :). Ultimately they were both cast on Ru Paul's Drag Race Season 5 and the rest is history.

Randy with World Of Wonder decided to create a spinoff YouTube Series Alyssa's Secret which was their very first World Of Wonder Streaming Show.
Fun Fact - they are rebooting Alyssa's Secret - but that is ultimately where the Netflix Series Dancing Queen got started.

Justin talks about his Beyond Belief Dance Studio and that there are so many life lessons you can take from dance.
He is training the youth of today - they are going to be the future of tomorrow. Those are going to be the leaders - he wants help to develop their character and instill a set of values and a code of conduct.

We talk about lessons from his Granny with the most important one being to 'LEAD WITH LOVE' - she was all about the nails and lashes and how to be a woman. We talk about his beloved Granny dying and
that he feels at peace with it and she will live on inside of him forever.

Then Justin reads a letter from a fan.

Then we talk about the Netflix Docu Series Dancing Queen with a lot of behind the scenes secrets. Everyone wants a Season 2 of Dancing Queen. That is the question he is asked the most.

#300: JUSTIN JOHNSON / ALYSSA EDWARDS "RAW AND REAL - I Was Not Born To Blend In" Part 1

48m · Published 15 Nov 20:24
We are beyond excited to welcome our World Famous Celebrity Guest Justin Johnson who is best known by his stage name Alyssa Edwards. Justin is not only a friend but family, who we
love dearly and are so happy to have him on the show to celebrate our 300th episode.

We talk about his dance studio Beyond Belief Dance Company in Mesquite, TX where he is celebrating 20 years of being the Steven Spielberg of dance. He is creating powerful stories
through his dances and his life is fulfilled when he watches his dancers perform on stage. He thanks his Earth Angel Michelle Sherrard who helped him get started with the studio.

We get to know how Justin grew up in Mesquite with his 4 sisters, Mom, very strong Dad and his granny. Justin was a natural born leader but wanted nothing to do with football or baseball, which
was very disappointing to his father.
Justin believes that dance saved his life. When he was young he was too shy to talk to people but expressed himself through dance.

Justin makes a passionate appeal that in our world today gay people shouldn't have to "COME OUT" anymore. Back when he did he had the full support of his granny who told him that when she
looked into his eyes when he was born she would love him for the rest of her life and love who he loves.
Justin does say that watching Philadelphia with Tom Hanks traumatized him at the time.

For years he was the real life Hannah Montana of Mesquite because he didn't want anyone to know that he started doing drag, because he was afraid of being judged. We get to know all about how he
got started in drag and how he was crowned Miss Texas, Miss USA and Miss America and Miss All American Goddess. He was the Vanessa Williams of drag after getting dethroned.
The world famous Shangela was back up dancing for him at the time. He talks about how the "Rose Room" at the S4 club in Dallas was like a wonderland to him and that room changed his life.
We find out how he chose Alyssa Edwards to be his stage name. We learn about the coolest surprise that MTV did for him later on in his career.

We end part 1 with talking about Rodney Johnson from Rodney's Dancing Zone which was a shock for all of us.......

Stay tuned to part 2 where we talk about Justin being on Ru Paul's Drag Race and much more.....You do not want to miss it. ......

#299: Jacqueline Prieto "Thank God For Saving My Life From My Car Accident - It Is A Miracle"

43m · Published 08 Nov 22:31
We welcome the beautiful Jacqueline Prieto, a Mom of 2 beautiful sons, owner of Lux Contour Dallas and a licensed Life Insurance Agent. She is beyond blessed and grateful to have
survived a terrible car accident in July 2020 only 1 mile from her house in the middle of the day. It is a true miracle and she most definitely saw Jesus through her recovery guiding her by her hand.

The story is unbelievable, from the police officer and another man rescuing her out of the burning vehicle to the officer crying when she called him to thank him. He didn't think she would survive. 34 cop cars showed
up to the accident.
Jacquie is a huge believer in seatbelts and encourages everyone to wear their seatbelts all the time, even when driving close to your home.
Her injuries were horrendous and severe and the worst part was that there was nobody allowed in the hospital with her because it was during Covid19 - she was desperate for human interaction. She begged
a nurse to hold her hand. Her brain injuries were very serious and she has had to give herself grace to allow herself time to heal. She says that it was so frustrating because she was so active before the
accident and besides all the other injuries the accident made her lose her vision for 5 months. She was disabled in every way.

Going from fully capable to disabled in an instant overnight was the worst thing and very hard to deal with mentally. Her sons never left her side and they do not like to talk about the accident.
Her car was a Jeep Commander which is a car meant for war. After seeing the damage to her car she cannot believe that God brought her through this and it is truly a miracle.

After not being able to move for months and indulging in all her Mom's delicious cooking Jacquie found cavitation liposuction. She became so passionate about it and went to school for it and opened
a business.

Then we talk about all the lawsuits with Cool Sculpting when things go terribly wrong like with Linda Evangelista who has now a deformed face because of this procedure.
Jacquie has clients that come to her to help get rid of Cool Sculpting knots and clients that have lumps that need to be removed from Lipo360. Jacquie says the recovery from Lipo360 is insane.
Gabrielle says that all this lipo etc is all too much. She gets very passionate about stopping all this craziness. Marcella talks about that the fat has to go somewhere and will show up
in other places eventually, especially when people think these things are quick fixes and don't change their lifestyles.

Jacquie is about to open a brand new location where you can get cavitation lipo, a blow dry, EM Sculpt etc etc. Jessica Simpson just posted about having EM Sculpt on her face.

We talk about BBL being the most deadly and dangerous procedure you can get.

Marcella is all into face yoga. We talk about the amazing Joanna Czech and her amazing celebrity facials. Her hands are magic and her facials cost anywhere from $800 to $ 1300 each.

Jacquie also does hair and make up and just recently has become a life insurance agent. She will be opening her own life insurance agency. She explains all the benefits and how it is beneficial
for investing.

Stay tuned for Part 2 when Jacquie tells us the most shocking story we have heard to date on our podcast .........................................................

#298: Linda Septien - "Once They Become Famous It Is A Different World" Part 2

39m · Published 01 Nov 22:33
We ask Linda how it feels to watch artists that she has helped become super famous and then some of them suffer severe struggles because of fame like Demi Lovato.
Linda usually tours with the artists for a while. She says it is very difficult to be on that other side of the journey to fame. She loves taking the artists through the journey before the fame.
They are hungry and cannot wait to get there - that part is a lot of fun. Sadly once the fame starts it is not that much fun any longer. The journey is truly the best.

Linda tells us of people pawing at Jessica Simpson and trying to grab her breasts on a plane - the world feels like they own the right to do whatever they want because they feel like
they know you.

The people that become ultra famous like Demi Lovato, Beyonce and Britney Spears - and Jessica Simpson - they start shutting down - You see them scamper to get away from people -
they will autograph for a little while but especially the females get very afraid.
It is sad to see.
She tells them that they wanted this fame and once achieved they are no longer off limits. It becomes a different world and they have to try to accept it and get their psyche ready.

She talks about Demi Lovato cutting quite a bit in 7th and 8th grade that they had to take her out of school - people were so very jealous of her even at that young age. Linda believes
that jealousy is a mental health issue.
We talk about the part in the Justin Bieber movie when he gets so sick before performing in Madison Square Garden, but the money people forcing him to perform with high doses of medication.
Linda explains that there are 20.000 people that want to say they met Justin Bieber but there is only one Justin. It is so tough.

Linda talks about athletes getting numbed on the sidelines like animals.

It is so hard to find true performers - Linda says she can make anyone a singer.

At Septien Entertainment Group they don't just do lessons, they also put a lot of focus on Artist Development.

Linda is super passionate about the Metaverse and Web 3 and thinks it is the most exciting thing that has ever happened for artists.
Travis Scott held a concert in the Metaverse and 50 Million People attended that concert virtually when at the most there are 40.000 at a real concert.
Linda has studied all this for 3 years and teaches about artists using tokenomics and offering coins.
She says you no longer need label contracts - only smart contracts where everything is transparent. Nothing is hidden any longer.

Linda makes a prediction that by 2023 everyone will be on it. She suggests everyone get into it because it is not going away. They teach a class at Septien Entertainment that is
very important for every business owner as well.

Another one of Linda's emerging stars is Jenna Raine who landed in the Number 1 Spot on Spotify with her Single "See You Later" even against Adele. She is signed with Warner
Brothers and is the only wholesome girl next door pop star at the label.

Septien Entertainment group has created a new company called Parallel Play that hired 20 companies and those companies will market you to all 12 platforms and push you out
to the audience. If you do not market yourself you cannot make it today.

Linda gives incredible advice about what it takes to sell music to the audience and what you have to do if you like to make money.

If there is no chemistry in the first kiss do you think there can be chemistry after?

#297: LINDA SEPTIEN Voice Coach Extraordinaire "Talent Is Earned And Created - Not Born" Part 1

43m · Published 25 Oct 21:11
We welcome the beautiful and amazing Linda Septien who is truly one of the best voice instructors in the world. She is the CEO and Founder of Septien Entertainment Group in Addison, Tx.

She has over 35+ years of experience, whose success is measured by the number of successful pop icons she has prepared, trained and helped launch into thriving careers.
Named on the cover of the Dallas Observer as the “Kingpin of Pop Talent, Linda is the forefront authority on all phases of launching an artist’s career including vocal technique, vocal disorders, vocal production, stage presence, vocal branding and viral marketing for all ages of artists.
With over 17,287 students to her legacy, including branded icons Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Kacey Musgraves, Kidz Bop, Ryan Cabrera, Leon Bridges and Jessica Simpson, among other “cash producing” artists, Linda prides herself on her ability to recognize talent & create an effective development strategy to launch a branded long term career artist.

Linda was born and raised in Louisiana by a family of musicians and her now 96 year old mother who still performs Ragtime. She has a nephew who is in a band called Midlake that is signed on the Tupac Label. Both her sons Remington and Huntington are musicians as well.
Linda tells us what it means to be an opera singer and that they hire you by your voice. She travelled all throughout Italy and Croatia and became a DIVA! Thinking she was all that in her late 20's she returned to Nashville and decided to record a commercial pop album, only to be told by the producer that she was absolutely terrible.
He told her to become a Diesel Sniffer "GROUPIE" to learn what it truly takes.
She toured with N'Sync for a while, Rolling Stones and anyone she could find - she started studying all the artists in detail and she wrote books on why the audience looked at these Stars and what caused that phenomenon. While she studied all these people she realized that this was not her at all and decided to teach and give all her knowledge to others instead.
She tells us about The "IT" factor and how things change in music and gives us the example of Dance Monkey who put an effect on her voice and it became the Number 1 song worldwide for an entire year.

Linda made her home in Dallas because her ex husband Rafael Septien, who she met in college was signed with the Dallas Cowboys. They were together for 15 years. She started teaching out of her home and then opened a small studio.
Jessica Simpson was one of her first students whose Dad brought her to Linda because Jessica was the only one that didn't make the Mickey Mouse Club audition. At the time Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and Britney Spears had all made it.
We learn all about Jessica's start in the Christian Music Industry and why the Christian audience didn't accept her.
We hear about a mishap that happened to her during her opening performance for Ricky Martin in Madison Square Garden.

Working with Colombia and Sony Records made Linda really well known and she got Beyonce and everyone that Sony was using back then.

What really put her on the map was Daniel Coile who wrote the New York Bestseller TALENT CODE, who was at her studio for 6 weeks to study how she creates and teaches these amazing artists. They were on Nightline and PR took over and because her story was the most interesting they got the most PR and attention. Everyone needs to read the book.

Linda says that if her students don't have the work ethic there is not much she can do. She can tell them everything she knows but ultimately they still have to do all the work. She tells us about a student
that was the most talented she has ever had, who refused to do the extra work and she tore up her contract and stopped working with her.

Linda talks about Matthew McConaughey book GREEN LIGHTS and that everyone needs to listen to it on audible and it will make you successful.

In today's world you have to have personality to go along with your musical talent and that the ones that are most successful are the ones that do not care about what others think. That is what it takes.

Linda has sang the National Anthem over 1000 times at Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars games to mention a few.

stay tuned to Part 2 where we talk about The other side of Fame, the Metaverse, NFT's, Demi Lavato etc ..................

#296: Scott Goldstein "Do You Want To Be Famous Or Do You Want To Be An Actor?" Part 2

30m · Published 18 Oct 22:19
We start Part 2 of our show with the amazing Scott Goldstein with him telling us about Megan from the TV Show Rock of love, who had been the star of her own Show called Megan wants a Millionaire and how unfortunate it was that a contestant on the show ended up murdering his wife and her body was found cut up in a suitcase - even though this had nothing to do with the show at all. The fact that he was on the show really changed the Chandra of dating shows from then on.

Scott says that these shows were rating higher than network primetime shows. Flavour of Love was one of them.

Scott talks about the future of Reality TV and how everything is changing with all the streamers coming into the platform. He says that The Kardashians are bringing in massive numbers on their new
HULU Show. He says everyone is trying to figure out what to do next.

Then we learn about how truly difficult his job as a Casting Director is - there is a ton of pressure - you work on 10 shows at the same time - the odds of selling something is 1 out of 100 - it is no easy task by
any means. He develops shows and casts. We ask him if people thank him when he gets them on a show - his response is hilarious.

We ask him what has been the most rewarding experience he has ever had and he tells us the show "BEAUTY AND THE GEEK" where he saw real transformations and how amazing that was.

The worst moment of history was the girl on Flavour of Love who pooped in her pants.

He says that TV is very powerful and can make peoples biggest dreams come true - he says there is a massive difference of gaining a following online vs being on Television.

Scott talks about Charli D'Amelio and her family who now have their own show on Hulu but that you have to have something really special to get to that level.

He says reality TV is all about personality. Influencers usually take pictures but very few have an actual personality.
He says that is a huge difference and that is why there are actors and there are models.
Personality on Reality TV is THE MOST IMPORTANT.

QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What do you think of wives that don't work and are getting an allowance from their husbands?

This segment became super fun with talk about Adam Levine - and Only Fans.

We end the show with Scott telling Marcella that when she is REALLY READY TO SETTLE DOWN to contact him and he promises to find her a guy Heart Eyes. Stay tuned for that Stuck out tongue closed eyes
