Episode 14: " Changing your inner narrative" With Rob Katona

23m · Published 15 Nov 03:03

" Change your thoughts and you can change your world" - Norman Vincent Peale

The current state of your life is a direct result of the stories you tell yourself, and what you really believe is possible—not what you say is possible, but what you believe deep down in your core

Dr. Joe dispenza, a neurobiologist and researcher in the fields of epigenetics, and quantum physics has found that we store emotions in our body whether we realize it or not. And by doing so, there is an emotional pay off that happens so we continue to fire the same neurons and signal the brain to continue feeling a certain way. We can literally become addicted to our own story and emotions unless we take the time to self-reflect and change the dialogue to a more self-serving one so we can break through our limiting beliefs and stories.

In this episode, Rob and I talk about how to connect to our inner narrative, how to identify it, and become aware of it first and then most importantly how to work with it, and flip the script to create a more empowering story

Episode 13:" Finding Strength In Vulnerability Ft. Shiva Felizadeh"

31m · Published 28 Oct 15:36

"Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. – Brené Brown

Often times we try  to protect ourselves from unpleasant feelings in the name of self-preservation which can hold us back from truly connecting with others. Being vulnerable is often seen as a weakness.  It takes true courage to be open and honest about our feelings. It allows for connection with others, whereas constantly trying to be perfect and hiding behind a seemingly strong and capable façade, can push people away.

In this episode, my good friend Shiva and I have an open discussion about our personal journeys that touches on vulnerability, connecting to our inner child and allowing for ourselves to be fully human by shedding the ego self and  façade that no longer served us and stood in the way of cultivating a more authentic version of ourselves.

Episode 12: " The Power of Relationships"

20m · Published 10 Oct 23:01

Relationships are meant to challenge us, they are mirrors in a sense, reflecting
back the things we need to work on and heal, revealing to us our darkness and our
light so that we can merge the two together and step in our most authentic self
and truest expression.

I truly believe that we attract who we are ready for at the time, and in the presence
of another person we can see the beauty of who we are as well as the ugliness of
who we think we are.

In this episode, I share my personal experience of how my last relationship challenged me, stretched me and pushed me to grow in so many ways. I learned how to lean into grief for the first time, and began to see heart break from a new perspective and cultivated a deeper connection to the little person inside of me.
