This weeks guest on Aware is a thought leader and generator for the future. Louise Broekman launched a software HR product, a little early for the market and after some cheap red wine and deciding to sell everything to make it work, found success with a new product. Along the way she drew together a team of advisors to help her limit those misjudged moments. An incidental conversation made her ask, "What does good look like? What is a good decision?" This train of thought inspired her to commit to a 100 year business goal to change the sector of governance, boards and advisory groups. In de-risking her life she found the bravery to follow a dream. She inspired us to train at the ABC and continues to deliver inspiration gems of wisdom.

These were severely disrupted with the arrival of motherhood and the tragic suicide of her brother. A happy and seemingly well man, new to fatherhood and about to get married. From her own struggle to cope, a shift from the Performing Arts career she had and a movement to counselling, Tania is open, raw and brutally honest about her own journey to come to terms with her brothers suicide, the mental health impact it had on her and her slow climb out of despair to discover who she really was.

This episode does discuss suicide and listener discretion is advised.
