如果 If

If 如果

If you can keep your head when all about you
  Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
  If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
  But make allowance for their doubting too;
  If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
  Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
  Or being hated don’t give way to hating,
  And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
  If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
  If you can meet withTriumph[1]and Disaster
  And treat those twoimpostors[2]just the same;
  If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
  Twisted byknaves[3]to make a trap for fools,
  Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
  Andstoop[4]and build’ em up with worn out tools;

  If you can make one heap of all your winnings
  And risk it on one turn of pitch and toss
  And lose, and start again at your beginnings
  And never breathe a word about your loss;
  If you can force your heart and nerve andsinew[5]
  To serve your turn long after they are gone,
  And so hold on when there is nothing in you
  Except theWill[6]which says to them: “Hold on!”

  If you can talk with crowds and keep yourvirtue[7],
  Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch;
  If neitherfoes[8]nor loving friends can hurt you;
  If all mencount with[9]you, but none too much;
  If you can fill theunforgiving[10]minute
  With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run——
  Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
  And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

自若保持冷静;

他们的猜忌情有可原;

When I Wake up each Morning

1m · Published 04 Jan 04:29

When I wake up each morning

and see you next to me

I know that my day will be all right

Sometimes it is hard

to put feelings into words

but I want you to know

how you affect me

When I wake up

and see you in the morning

I am so happy

that we are together

I respect you

I admire you

I love you deeply

When I wake up each morning

and see you next to me

no matter what happens

I know that my day will

be all right

When you are old

1m · Published 24 Nov 16:00

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,

And nodding by the fire, take down this book,

And slowly read, and dream of the soft look,

Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,

And loved your beauty with love false or true,

But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,

And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,

Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled,

And paced upon the mountains overhead,

And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

那脉脉秋水,她们曾经是多么的深情和曼美;

爱你那铅华洗尽,年老色衰的憔悴;

The Road Not Taken

2m · Published 18 Nov 16:21

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

I Carry Your Heart with Me

I carry your heart with me

I carry it in my heart

I am never without it

anywhere I go you go, my dear;

and whatever is done by only me is your doing,

my darling

I fear no fate

for you are my fate, my sweet

I want no world for beautiful

you are my world, my true

and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant

and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

here is the root of the root

and the bud of the bud

and the sky of the sky

and of a tree called life;

which grows higher than the soul can hope

or mind can hide

and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart

I carry it in my heart
