Today, we're really excited to have Shalen Fox with us, a proud member of Sweetgrass First Nation. Shalen's a public speaker with a powerful story, sharing his journey from battling addictions to finding sobriety.

He opens up about how early life relationships and traumas pushed him towards drinking at just 13 years old. As time went on, his struggles expanded beyond alcohol to regular cocaine use during university and into adulthood.

Things hit a breaking point when Shalen quickly spent $20,000 in just two weeks to feed his addictions. That was the wake-up call he needed. Today, Shalen joins us for a conversation about the tough but life-changing decision to ask for help, what he's doing to stay on the sobriety path, and the crucial role of finding your voice in the healing process.
