89. Talent Stack Story of a Professional Beginner - feat. Hiroko Nishimura

54m · Build Your Talent Stack · 16 Oct 19:00

Hiroko (Hiro) Nishimura is a freelance technical instructor and content strategist in Maryland, United States. I got to know Hiro when I was enrolled into one of her LinkedIn learning courses "AWS for Non-Engineers", and I was so intrigued by how the learning experience was so refreshingly digestible that I felt compelled to look up Hiro online to find out what her background. What I discovered was Hiro’s incredible story of how she overcame incredible challenges to create her own career path, and I knew I just had to invite her onto the show. Hiro’s story is a great example of designing a career centred around her talent stack and unique life experiences, but her journey leading up to freelance career path involved adapting her mindset, adapting how she learned new skills - and it was through learning out loud or learning in public - as Hiro put it.-  meant that her work was noticed and changed her trajectory and empowered her to take the leap into design her own portfolio career. https://awsnewbies.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/hirokonishimura/ For more talent stack resources visit https://www.yishanchan.co/links
