Creating an Inclusive Environment in Your Yoga Class

I believe that yoga is for everyBODY and is a practice and lifestyle that should be accessible to anyone interested in learning it. My vision is for everyone to feel safe, seen and accepted in class just the way they are.

It is our responsibility as teachers to set the tone and actively create an inclusive environment and yoga community. Learning how to work with students in a way that doesn’t inadvertently offend, demoralize, dismiss or exclude is just as essential to teaching yoga as learning anatomy or sequencing.
