Nelson was in Little Saigon stopping by Saigon Deli and Hello Em Coffee, had lunch at Pecado Bueno, participated in a Virtual Chocolate Tasting Class hosted by Theo Chocolate, went down south to pick up Jollibee, stopped by Young Tea for Grass Jelly and Cold Tofu Pudding as well as a sneak preview of their Oolong Tea Pop-Up, and got Din Tai Fung and Xiao Chi Jie for a family dinner. He also received special deliveries from Monica with a ribeye from Mishima Reserve and donuts from @bobaeggs, who delivered to both of us.

Meanwhile, Monica ordered her yearly tradition heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's, had wonton noodle soup from Le's Pho Tai, tried out HK Dim Sum inside the Asian Family Center, received a cakes from Cakes on 28th and All Purpose Baking Co., had a delivery from Sweet Nothings and More, ordered bagels and more from Seattle Bagels, had another delivery from Topo Chico with their Twist of Tangerine Mineral Water, ate out at Fiasco for her belated birthday dinner, and finally, accompanied @what.jessie.eats to Ono Poke and the Market Fish Monger.

On the 127th episode of the Seattle Foodie Project, we're sitting down with Alina Muratova, owner of the bakery pop-up Sweet Nothings and More. Sweet Nothings and More is making unique and creative pastries and sweets weekly as well as delicious chocolates at their pop-ups. Tune in as Alina tells her story of how she made the leap to owning her own business.

In addition, Monica and Nelson announce the three winners of the Young Tea Giveaway featuring the Cold Tofu Pudding and Hot Grass Jelly Set. Due to the snow this weekend, the pop-up will be this upcoming Friday and Saturday.

As for what they ate this week, Nelson had Cheesling chicken from BB.Q Chicken, previewed Ahi Tuna Tacos and Pandan Horchata from Mangosteen and BobaBar, picked up pizza from Formula Brewing, stopped by Yeti Bento, picked up cocoa bombs from the Cozy Bomb, grabbed Okazu Pans from Umami Kushi and Cakes of Paradise at Uwajimaya, and had Lunar New Year Takeout Dinner from Dough Zone.

Meanwhile, Monica visited Sabine in Ballard, had pasta at Due Cucina in Totem Lake, got several Valentine's Day deliveries from Macadons and Dang Goodies, Bells Pastries, Sundre Box, and Girl Scout Cookies. She also received a gift of Socola Chocolates from San Francisco shipped by @bobaeggs.

On the 126th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we're chatting with Gracie Santos of @grayseas.pies. She has been making a wide array of pies including apple, pecan, pear and gorgonzola, and her Girl Scout Series Samoas and Thin Mint Pies. Tune in as we talk to Gracie about how she went from recreational baker to now hosting pop-ups and find out what ingredients she wants to work with in the future. 

In addition, Monica and Nelson tell you about Young Tea's upcoming pop-up where you can pre-order Hot Grass Jelly and Cold Tofu Pudding this weekend as well as Tet in Steattle's Restaurant Week, which starts this Friday. They also recap the week, which included sampling frozen Asian-inspired entrees and sides from the local Seattle company, InnovAsian. They also received a bottle of Kari Kari Chili Crisp oil and they review it too.

As for what they ate this past week, Nelson visited Fischer Meats for some pepperoni sticks and Landjaeger, had lunch at Noodle Boat Thai Cuisine, picked up dinner from Canton Noodle House, had boba from Cha Time in MLK, and went on a food crawl with friends to Coffeeholic, Billiard Hoang, Pho Bac Sup Shop, and Kau Kau. He also went on a mini ID food crawl and stopped by Dim Sum King, SuSu Dessert Bar and Young Tea.

Meanwhile, Monica has been consuming GEMINI meal replacement shakes from Unico Nutrition.She also got a delivery from Oso Negro Baking Co.

On the 125th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we chat with Food Instagrammer, Phil Mar (@philmaaaeats). Phil has been consistently grabbing takeout over the past several months and has been trying his best to support local Seattle restaurants. Tune in as he and Monica discuss some of his favorite spots around Seattle as well as international food as he traveled to several locales before the pandemic. 

In addition, Monica and Nelson received a home delivery from Chocolate Strawberry and More and they review their chocolate dipped strawberries. These strawberries are ready for pre-order just in time for February.

As for what they ate this week, Nelson got several deliveries from Aberlour Single Malt Scotch Whisky celebrating Burns Night Supper, Mochi Doki Mochi Ice Cream, and Mama Star Chili Oil. Plus, he also went out to Totem Lake Village to check out the newest location from Due Cucina, stopped by the new Bobalust in Kirkland for a beverage, grabbed takeout from Cafe Ori and Senor Taco, and picked up lunch from Square Lotus and Tofu 101. 

Meanwhile, Monica had chicken wings from Star in the Sky, checked out the Sweet Nothings and More Pop-Up at Lupo in Fremont, picked up some Seattle Pops, had lunch at Sisi Kay Thai, and visited her regular spots including Pho Tic Tac, Katsu Burger, and Teriyaki Time.

Nelson stayed on the Eastside grabbing sandwiches from Sandwich House Tres, lunch from Ezell's, had beers at Maelsrom Brewing Company in Kirkland and picked up dinner from Teriyaki Plus. He also went out to the Chinatown/ID for takeout from Gan Bei and Seattle Best Tea. 

Meanwhile, Monica had the Cookies Country Cafeteria Chicken Sandwich from the Li'l Woody's and Cookies Country Dough Collab, had rolls and nigiri from Sushi I, received a delivery from Sweet Nothings and More, was out in U-Village and visited Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, Tutta Bella, and Hello Robin. She also made drinks from Arteao she purchased from TheWMarketplace, grabbed takeout near her house from Mekong Village and Shandong Bao House, and sampled chorizo made by Coro Foods/Salumi. Finally, she finished off her week at Pecado Bueno in Fremont.

There are currently two locations in Seattle in the Central District and Georgetown and they are also offering nationwide shipping. Tune in as Emily tells us how Lowrider Cookie Company went from beginning at Farmers Markets and Pop-Ups to having permanent locations. 

In addition, Monica and Nelson tell you about where they went and ate this past week. Nelson was influenced by Monica to give Panda Express another shot while also getting Mexican food at the reopened Taqueria La Venadita in Issaquah. He also had lunch at Feed Co. Burgers, celebrated National Bagel Day with Rubinstein's Bagels, and had late night slices from Breezy Town Pizza. 

Meanwhile, Monica had Vietnamese Cold Brew from Omni Bev, had more Pozole from Agua Verde Cafe, checked out Lew's BBQ in Everett, got takeout from Teriyaki Time, ate Tres Lecheria cake she found in the freezer, and got a delivery from the Chocolate Gift Box.

He also grabbed takeout from Fremont Bowl, visited the new and 2nd location of Spice Waala with Monica, and went on a mini Ballard food crawl picking up additional takeout at PInk Bee and Mr. Gyro's. 

Meanwhile, Monica had a craving for Panda Express, picked up takeout from X'ian Noodles, stopped by Kizuki Ramen for noodles, had sushi from Katsu Burger, ate at Kidd Valley, and met up with @eatingwiththao for a socially distant cookie drop.

He also sampled the limited edition holiday flavors from Ellenos Greek Yogurt, picked up Pierre Hermes Macarons from L'Experience Paris, sampled Pies from Grayseas Pies, had tacos at Standard Brewing, picked up a cruffin at Temple pastries, and got fried chicken to-go at Quick Pack. 

Meanwhile, Monica created cocktails from Coffeeholic and Topo Chico, ate for a cause with Stoneburner benefiting Keep Music Live WA, had pozole from El Camion, and made Breakfast Burritos using Redondo's Portuguese Sausage. She also visited Green Tree in Greenwood, Monkey Bridge in Ballard, Din Tai Fung, Hello Robin, and BaBar.

Episode 120 - Dear 2021...

On the 120th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we're ringing in the new year with "Dear 2021" letters. Like many of us, we can't wait for 2020 to be behind us and for the upcoming new year to grace us with health and normalcy. On this episode, we decided to write letters to tell you what 2020 meant to us and what we're excited 2021 will look like in our eyes. 

In addition, even though it was the holidays, Monica and Nelson still tell you where they ate this past week. Nelson picked up a Game Day Tailgating Meal Kit from Quickfire Seattle, picked up 2 bottles of Crema de Vie from friends of the podcast, @thechinolatinaway, grabbed takeout on Christmas Eve from Noodle Boat Thai Cuisine, and made a doughnut run to Legendary Doughnuts.
