Marije Dijkstra - Founder, Tahuna Skin

31m · Published 27 Oct 20:14
With an unwavering love for sauna, nurturing a long distance relationship and sparking creative ideas to plant her seeds in NZ, Marije moved to NZ with her first question to her now husband, ‘so where are all the saunas?’… for which he replied that if she wanted to use them she would need to create something herself.  And from that day she has stuck with the saying that you ‘need to build your wings on the way down’ meaning you just need to start and learn as you go.  Marije has been on an incredible life journey moving from Holland, shifting careers, experiencing a number of miscarriages and began to explore rituals that were unique and brought about a total health of the body through botanicals. And where the evolution of her brand, Tahuna Skin began. In true Marije style, she has mastered the art of mundane and every day chores like cleaning up her lab, feel much more like a meditative state and grounding experience.  Marije has a bold call for action and looking for someone to join her on the journey to evolve Tahuna Skin and bring to life all of the elements to create holistic and healing experiences.

In this podcast we explore the journey of life and how our views of success change over the decades in working towards creating a holistically successful life that encompasses multi dimensions beyond the traditional focuses of wealth, materialism and accolades.

Aimee Pickles has always had a strong focus on health and well-being as a path to creating happiness, independence and living a comfortable life.

She grew up in a small farming town in New Zealand, was always financially driven, with a materialistic view, a regarded career, and the inner voice that said "do what you love and you will never work a day."

After battling with connecting to who she truly was, Aimee has worked with a number of mentors in the recent years to shift her mindset, accepting her introvert nature and tuning in to the knowing of what it takes for her to truly flourish.

Aimee is also a wonderful contributor to the community of Marlborough with the work that she does to support the next generation through The Graham Dingle Foundation - supporting youth from school to the workforce and The Cactus Bootcamp Program.

Aimee shares 5 key tips that support her in staying happy, healthy and passionate to live every day with meaning.
