Episode 028: Serial Entrepreneurship & Finding Your Business Bestie with Amanda Dare
1h 18m · PublishedI’m so excited to have my business wifey and fellow serial entrepreneur, Amanda Dare, on the show today! Amanda has single handedly built multiple businesses, but you might know her as the founder and owner of the local sustainable and ethical fashion boutique, The New Blak, as well as The Woman-Owned Wallet feminist gift shop. If there is someone who believes “this is going to work” even more than me, it’s Amanda Dare! Amanda and I met at a point in our lives where we were both running a business out of a truck, and now that we’ve come so far, we want to share our journey with you!
In this episode of There She Grows, we’re focusing on the importance of friendships in the entrepreneur community. Having someone who understands what you’re going through as a woman in the business world is incredibly powerful and reassuring. The entrepreneur lifestyle can be very isolating, especially when your friends aren’t entrepreneurs themselves. Before I met Amanda, I was really craving friendships with women who were going through the same experiences as me, and I am so thankful I manifested a relationship with someone who is willing to be honest and forthcoming about how difficult and how beautiful it is to be an entrepreneur. When you have to make all the difficult decisions and bear the weight of entrepreneurship, it’s so refreshing to have someone else in that discussion who understands your journey.
In addition to the importance of female friendships in the business world, we’re also discussing Amanda’s personal journey as a female small business owner as well as topics that are crucial for any entrepreneur, including the lessons Amanda and I have learned from having multiple businesses and starting them from the ground up. In this episode, you’ll learn more about investing in yourself, where to find support within the entrepreneurial community, shifting your mindset about debt, how to learn from your mistakes, and more!
Want to follow Amanda's journey as an entrepreneur and all-around boss babe? You can find Amanda on Instagram @littleblakbook and her businesses @shopthenewblak and @womanowned.wallet!

Episode 027: 3 Books to Help You Uplevel Your Money Mindset & Manifest More Money
22m · PublishedEpisode 026: How to Supercharge Your Affirmations
23m · PublishedEpisode 025: How I Use Time Blocking To Get Shit Done
35m · PublishedHappy New Year! Now, I know that we go into the New Year with a “new me” attitude, and we have so many goals and dreams and plans about how this year is going to be different from the last. We're always really excited about these resolutions in the beginning, but we tend to lose track of them or get discouraged over time. But the best way to keep up with these goals and make sure we’re accomplishing them is by time blocking!
We all have 100 million things that we would like to be doing at any given time, but only a few of those things are actually going to move us toward our immediate goals. Time blocking allows us to be really specific and really intentional about our time, so that we can continue to push those goals forward.
I think we all have those moments where we can feel time getting away from us, and at that point, we’re just spending our time putting out fires instead of actually moving closer to our big goal. But with time blocking, when you need to re-center yourself and get back on track, you’ll already have your ideal schedule laid out. With this time-blocked schedule in place for you to fall back on, you’ll always know what you should be committed to accomplishing at any time on any given day.
If you have a schedule that you're trying to follow, even if it's not perfect, even if you're only following it 51% of the time, as long as you're being intentional with your time, you will be much more certain that you are going to achieve those goals that you set for yourself. In this episode of There She Grows, we’re discussing how you can achieve those goals and take back control of your time by creating your ideal, intentional, time-blocked schedule.
Of course, I couldn't mention time blocking without mentioning Pav*r. If you guys haven't heard about Pav*r yet, it’s an app that myself and my husband have developed to specifically assist you with time blocking. Pav*r is a Google Calendar add-on that connects straight to your calendar so that you can start to track how you're spending your time and make better decisions based on that information. Episode 024 - How to Begin Your Meditation Practice in 10 Minutes or Less
31m · PublishedWhen I launched this podcast in April, I had no idea what the rest of this year would bring. I’m excited about 2021, but one thing that 2020 has taught me is the importance of my routine and my meditation practice. We’ve been thrown so many curveballs this year, and it can be so easy to get into that panic spiral. I’ve relied heavily on my meditation practice this year, and I want to make sure everyone has the same access to meditation to help manage and release their negative thoughts.
Last month, I set a goal for myself to do 30 days of consecutive meditation because I had noticed that when I was meditating, my thoughts were a bit scattered, and I didn’t feel as good afterward. I set the 30-day meditation goal for myself because I knew how important it was to keep up with consistent meditation. I also had never meditated for 30 consecutive days, and I really wanted to see what would happen if I could commit to that.
Years ago, before I began meditating, I would start my days with a sense of panic and dread as I woke up and immediately checked the same three things: my email, my bank account, and my social media. If that sounds similar to the way you start your days, I want to teach you how to meditate so you can release that panic and dread. That simple change in how you start your day will positively affect the way the rest of your day goes. If we can start our day differently, we can expect a better outcome out of that day.
In this episode of There She Grows, we’ll discuss what meditation is, the benefits of meditation, how to keep up a consistent meditation schedule, as well as the best ways for you to meditate if you’re a beginner.
If you’re looking for a great guided meditation, here are three of my favorites to get you started:
Abundance Meditation: https://insig.ht/z8RwovvLqcb
Mindful Morning Meditation: https://insig.ht/7klTEpyLqcb
Morning Ease Meditation: https://insig.ht/W4z5iSBLqcb
You can also find great guided meditations as well as a built-in timer for your meditation on the InsightTimer app.

One of my big goals of 2021 is to grow this podcast, and one of the only ways to do that is through my listeners. Episode 023 - How to Create a Vision Board That Actually Works (part 2)
21m · PublishedNow that you’ve created your perfect vision board, we’ll discuss how to make sure you’re using it as the powerful manifesting tool that it is! If you didn’t catch the first episode in this two-part vision board series, make sure you listen to Part 1 first so you’ll have all the tips you need to create a vision board that actually works. Once you’ve listened to Part 1, we can really dive into what you can do to make the most out of your vision board once it’s complete.
This episode of There She Grows covers all the best practices for using your vision board, but it’s also important to discuss what not to do with your vision board (i.e. shoving it in the back of your closet). In order to use your vision board correctly, you first need to acknowledge the importance of where you place your vision board. In Part 2 of this series, you’ll learn the best places to display your vision board as well as the best practices for actively engaging with it every day.
Once you’ve found the perfect spot for your vision board, the next step is learning how to let go of the outcome. Our manifestations are already on their way to us once we place them on our vision board; worrying about them won’t do us any good! When you worry about your goals, you’re preventing them from manifesting. But letting go of the outcome as well as your worries is easier said than done, which is why we’ll discuss the best practices for making sure your concerns are no longer holding you back.
Now that you’ve learned to let go of the outcome, the next step is consistently using your board. Your vision board is filled with the intentions you set for yourself, and you don’t want to lose sight of them. You spent a lot of time digging into the core of what you want; don’t give up on that! This episode of There She Grows will cover how to use your board consistently and efficiently to help you get the most out of the time you spent intentionally setting your goals.
You can also find a free downloadable guide on my website that outlines everything we talked about in the last two episodes. You’ll definitely want to download this guide so you can have all the information you need to create a vision board that actually works. In addition to the downloadable guide, I recommend this guided meditation as the perfect tool for helping you visualize and manifest your highest self.
If you’re creating your vision board, I’d love for you to share it with me! Please send it to me or tag me on Instagram @jessbledsoe. As always, if you have any questions or need any help, I’m always here for you.

Episode 022 - How to Create a Vision Board That Actually Works (part 1)
28m · PublishedVision boards are more than a fun craft project— they’re a powerful manifesting tool! If you put a little bit of intention towards your vision board, you’ll get results like you have never seen before. Follow along with my simple three-step process to make sure you’re creating a vision board that actually works. In Part 1 of my vision board series, we’ll discuss the steps you need to follow in order to get a clear idea of what you truly want to manifest.
A couple of years ago, when I really started my mindset and manifesting journey, I was introduced to the concept of using my vision board as a powerful manifesting tool. When you create a vision board full of random ideas, you’ll waste time trying to manifest things you’re not consistently showing up for. It’s important to create intention around what you really want, so you can supercharge what it is you’re trying to manifest. In this episode of There She Grows, you’ll learn how to take your ideas a step further so you can get a clear visualization of your intentions and goals. We’ll also discuss the difference between digital and physical vision boards as well as how often you should update your board.
In addition to this vision board podcast series, I’m also sharing two free downloads you can use to help you with your vision board journey. The first free download is a workbook that will help guide you through the process of forming a specific vision for the life of your dreams. The second guide will walk you through all the steps you need to follow to make sure you’re creating a vision board that will actually work.
Be sure to tag me @jessbledsoe when you share your completed vision boards, and don’t forget to join us next week for Part 2 in this series where we’ll discuss how to use your vision board consistently.
