It all started when his partner Troy Nakamatsu did an experiment because he was challenged by his coworker to make his own Korean rice drink called Makgeolli – a more crude version of sake. The competitive edge came out and before they knew it Sawtelle Sake was born...

Taking it from grassroots with friends and family, launching during the pandemic, juggling a brand new family -  to a legit sake brewery and an established clientele.

Jon gives advice on starting a business, growth, and how not to be afraid to ask for help and talk to people to build your team. Forming partnerships was everything!!

In this episode of Level Up, Hallie and Didier Pariente at Nomadic Distributions are here to conquer and provide a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the import business of Moroccan, Organic, and Sustainable Wines. They started in 2004 with a love for wine – and ran with the idea.

Their nomadic wine tasting truly takes you around the world. Here we learn about taking risks in starting a new business, the market crash in 2009, growth and expansion to producing wines with no additives, regenerative farming, and small producers who are very dedicated to their craft. Original story tellers for sure.

One of my favorite things is to constantly travel and expand – we did this today through the vines of the wine. Cheers!!!

Spoiler alert: The Croatian wine was my favorite of all of the tastings.

Drorit takes joy in leading classes, workshops, retreats and meditations…  My goal with this episode and this podcast is to change the whole paradigm of “success”. The next time you get on the yoga mat, I want you to challenge the way you look at failure. I challenge you to see your failures in a new light to give you the guidance you need to keep moving forward with your practice. Success is what you get from yoga practice when you learn something about yourself, not necessarily when you do a headstand.
