“Welcome to the Wellbeing and Career World Podcast, I am delighted to be chatting to a woman Plagued and embarrassed by her name (a humiliation enhanced by a nomadic childhood that made it impossible to build lasting relationships), Shenandoah Chefalo developed a tough skin at an early age. Along the way, she learned to deal with disappointment, push through discomfort, overcome adversity, and accurately gauge people, qualities that have helped her to succeed.

She attended Coach U and became a certified life coach. Working through that program, Shenandoah began to understand her childhood in a way she never had before.

She set out on a mission to tell her story and educate the general public about the grim realities of a life that she had always tried to hide. She believes that some of the grassroots solutions she offers in Garbage Bag Suitcase could change the lives of children and the landscape of the country. Shenandoah Chefalo is a graduate of Michigan State University (holding a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Science), a Core Essentials Graduate from Coach U, a Certified Law of Attraction Advanced Practitioner, a member of the National Speakers Association, and volunteers with several organizations locally, nationally and internationally. Author and Blogger, regularly quoted and published in the media, Author of the Startup Visa and legal Heroes. Also founded a non-profit called WIDEN to train and mentor lawyers to help detained immigrants. Co-founder of Airport Lawyer that provided critical help during the travel ban crisis.

A very warm Welcome to the podcast Tahmina Watson

Tahmina answers some of the questions asked below during the podcast or answers questions as part of the conversation. The conversation between Tahmina and David discuss a number of airlines throughout the podcast. The Wellbeing and Career World podcast and guest Tahmina Watson have no association with any of the Airlines or Individuals mentioned within those Airlines.

1)I gave a brief introduction about your background, Can you let our listeners know more about your background? 2) Tahmina, there are so many articles in the news and social media informing of a Pilot shortage in the USA and how airlines are helping expats pilots obtain Visas to work in the USA. Is it so easy what these reports are saying? 3) I want to first ask you about the E3 Visa. There is an article from Business insider about Australian expat pilots having an opportunity to work for Breeze Airways, that article mentions "Australian pilots will be able to work as Breeze pilots under the E-3 work visa program in a little-used but not unprecedented solution to the pilot shortage. Skilled Australian nationals can apply to legally work in the US and regional airlines including CommutAir and ExpressJet Airlines have used the program to recruit pilots from the country. "It's an opportunity to give good, hardworking, well-qualified folks jobs who want to live in the US [and] want to be a pilot for a US airline," Owens said. 4) Are there any Visas available to unemployed/ex-pat pilots to gain access to employment in the USA? 5)Are these Visas expensive and what is the time span from application to setting foot in the USA for work?6) If the reported pilot shortage in the USA is fact, then why not make it easier for expat pilots to obtain a visa from all countries.? 7) What are the first steps do you recommend to a pilot wanting to obtain a visa in the USA? 8) I have some questions sent in from Pilots looking for more information: Which are the effective operational limits to the NIW EB-2 visa ?Is it possible to obtain any visa without any sponsor? Will my application cost large amounts of money? Is it possible a special unit can be formed by the USA immigration office only for pilots that could help solve the Reported pilot shortage and reported transportation issues . If i get a visa, is it permanent or renewable? If i obtain a visa, can i apply for permanent residency? 9) Is it worth contacting airlines to ask them about possible opportunities for ex-pats? 10) What about the financial status of the pilot, for example: is proof of savings and being able to support oneself criteria of the application? Question 11) Is there anything else I may have missed out which you feel is important to share? 12) Where can listeners find you on social media?
