Lately I’ve been exploring how I can make different areas of my life (my business, my creative projects, this podcast etc.) feel more sustainable. Not sustainable from an environmental perspective (that’s awesome as well, but a different conversation =)), but sustainable in a way that allows me to show up for all of these things consistently and with a sense of joy.

I’ve found that communicating with our creative endeavors is a beautiful way to gain insights into what our creative projects really need from us. Which in turn allows us to create from a place of greater harmony, ease and flow. In today’s episode I’ll be sharing what this “communication” process looks like for me so you can apply it to your own creative projects as well!

Today’s episode is also the Season 2 Finale! I’ll be sharing my future plans for the podcast (don’t worry, it’ll be coming back =)) and also how we can stay in touch until Season 3.

A big thank you from my heart to yours for being on this journey with me. I’m grateful to each and every one of you!

I’m so delighted to share another beautiful and inspiring conversation with you today.

This one is with Ashley DePaulis, who is a Body Muse, Movement Alchemist, and Somatic Embodiment Practitioner.

Ashley helps high performing women transform stress & enhance energy holistically. Inside the Vital Body Method, her signature program, she teaches you how to activate your body’s natural healing state for growth and expansion by feeling, processing and understanding the energy being expressed through your body so that you can align with your most vital self.

I’ve spoken before about how I believe that how we feel in our bodies is directly correlated to our ability to tap into our peak creative potential. Ashley’s work is a really important piece of that puzzle. It’s all about learning how we can connect with our bodies so that we can be present in the here and now and also create a feeling of safety within. When we feel safe in our bodies, we also feel safe to express ourselves creatively. Which is one of the topics that we dive into in today’s conversation.

Some of the other things that we talk about are:

  • How to access your deeper gifts
  • Ashley’s program, The Vital Body Method
  • Letting the kid within win
  • The power of DANCE
  • Ashley’s number one tool for moving beyond creative blocks

And so much more.

Let’s dive in, and enjoy the show!!

Committed to a Creative Craft with Joseph Santos, Actor

1h 0m · Published 07 May 14:00

Today I’m sharing a conversation with Joseph Santos who is an actor in LA.

Joe and I originally met at an acting class and we were also in a play together a few years ago. He’s a wonderful actor and something that I’ve always really admired about him is his commitment to the craft of acting. I think you’ll really get a sense of that when you listen to him speak today.

Some of the things we talk about in our inspiring conversation are:

  • Imposter syndrome
  • The importance of being in class and “opening up the shop”
  • What it’s like to work with Ethan Hawke
  • Joseph’s work with writing his first pilot
  • And, how candles can help with creativity =)

Joe is such a wise, smart and passionate human being with a great sense of humor. I think you’re really going to enjoy today’s conversation and all of the nuggets of wisdom that Joe shares.

Let’s dive in!

Today’s conversation might just shift the way you experience the world. That’s what it did for me.

Fabia is a Cyclical Living and Menstruality Expert, Yoga Teacher, Economist and is currently also studying Psychology and Religious Studies at the University of Zürich.

A big piece of Fabia’s work is about seeing the menstrual cycle as the gift that it truly is.

In today’s conversation we dive deep into what that means and so much more.

Some of the things that we talk about are:

  • How we can integrate cycle awareness into what can feel like a very masculine world
  • Practicing menstrual awareness at the workplace
  • What the “four seasons” of the menstrual cycle are and how you can apply this awareness to your daily life
  • How we can apply this wisdom to our creative process & projects
  • What a “feminine” yoga practice looks like

Fabia is an absolute joy to listen to and shares about this topic with so much wisdom and humor. One of the things that I love about Fabia’s work is that she makes cycle awareness feel so accessible. I walked away from this conversation feeling like I could easily start applying some of the concepts into my daily life. And I think you’ll feel the same way!

I recently took a a 3-day mini-vacation and was reminded of the powerful effects that taking a break can have on my creative potential.

Even though my inner critic tried to convince me that “NO ONE would listen to an episode about vacations because that just sounds SO BORING” I still felt that it was important to show up for this solocast and share my thoughts on what creativity & vacationing have in common.

Enjoy and if you haven’t taken a vacation in a while, maybe, just maybe, this little chit-chat will inspire you to do so

May this support your creative life, and feel free to get in touch if you have any questions!

Creating Every Moment with Savanna Jones-Martin, Vocalist, Producer & Embodiment Coach

45m · Published 09 Apr 13:00

Today’s episode is with another really special human being and creator, Savanna Jones-Martin.

Savanna and I met two years ago in New York at an immersive experience that we both participated in. When I first met Savanna, I felt an immediate resonance with her. She’s a beautiful human being who is deeply embodied in her truth and her creativity.

She’s a vocalist and in the last year she’s been very active with producing her own beautiful music and sharing it with the world. In 2020 she released an album called “Breath of Earth” and this year, in 2021, she released a gorgeous single called “Simplicity.” Currently, she’s in the process of producing and recording a new collection of songs that she’s written.

Savanna is also an Embodiment Coach who uses Somatic Experiencing processes informed by the work of Peter Levine and she also teaches voice through a somatically-oriented therapeutic lens. She also facilitates dance and movement events and works as a ceremonial artist where she offers songs, prayers and space holding in meditative, healing and ceremonial settings.

I see Savanna as someone who very much lives in her creative truth, which is one of the reasons I felt called to having her on the show. In today’s conversation she shares so many wisdoms and insights into the creative process. She is a true joy and inspiration to listen to!

Train Your Brain for Creativity with Elena Arici, Psychologist and Neurofeedback Specialist

52m · Published 26 Mar 10:00

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my main goals with this podcast is to share as many tools as possible to support you with tapping into your peak creative potential. Today’s conversation will be all about one of the most potent tools that I’ve discovered on my own journey of tapping deeper and deeper into my creativity.

That tool is Neurofeedback. Neurofeedback is a form of biofeedback which allows you to train different brainwaves and optimize the self-regulation of your brain.

In today’s episode I share a fascinating conversation with Elena Arici who is a Psychologist and Neurofeedback Specialist. She runs her own Neurofeedback practice, called Lernwerk, with two locations in the Zürich area. I’ve been training with Elena and her team for the past 8 months and have experienced amazing results: I’m able to focus for much longer periods of time (which has allowed me to tap into deeper & longer creative flow states!), I sleep better, experience less anxiety and the training has also supported me on my journey of healing a chronic pain experience.

Neurofeedback is an amazing tool that I feel should be much more widely known. So I’m delighted to share this conversation with Elena today, who is a true expert in the field.

Some of the things we talk about are:

  • What Neurofeedback is and how it works
  • Who can benefit from Neurofeedback
  • Neuromeditation (an exciting new area of Neurofeedback!)
  • How Neurofeedback can support the creative process
  • Possible side effects you might experience during training
  • Tips for finding a Neurofeedback practitioner if you don’t live in Zürich
  • Additional practices that can optimize your brain function

Elena has such a wealth of information and insight to share. Enjoy this fascinating conversation!
