Y.T. Amaya: I love music. Music is like my savior: it helps me get through everything. Whenever I feel angry or sad I calm myself with music. Hearing the melody, and actually understanding the words is something I love. knew that I could sing for some years now, but I knew I wanted to get serious with it about 2 or 3 years ago. A friend of my mom got me into music with karaoke. We would go to restaurants, and I would sing, and people would love it. The feeling of getting in front of a crowd and singing felt so good. knowing that I could be doing that for a living motivated me even more to become a singer. I really dont have a favorite type of music, because Ilove all music. Plus my music goes hy my mood. I can say though, I do prefer old school music, like the 80's, 90's, and 2000's. Music has always been in my family, my grandfather was a musician. He was in a band, and they were playing for Selena [Mexican singer). Something that motivates me in my music career is my Nana, she is my great grandmother. She was the most beautiful sweet lady in the world, she was definitely an impact on my music career. She massed away last year and that hurt so much. I could honestly say that my heart broke. But I'm doing this for her, I miss her so much and I will make her groud. Also my sisters & my mom.
