#14 - Photography with Eva Mels

21m · Published 19 Mar 11:00

Meet Eva, a photography student in the city of Utrecht in the Netherlands. Eva is resilient when it comes to photography and doing it her own way, from diving into mental images to acquiring the ability to visualize abstract items such as Alzheimer's through photographs. I had the pleasure to meet Eva at a local bar in Utrecht known as Walden.

In this episode, Eva and I talk about photography and what it truly means for her. How photographs are pieces of reality and what it means when someone says 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. We touch upon what mental images are and what they mean for everyone and what Eva's biggest obstacles are as an upcoming photographer.

The biggest takeaway from my conversation with Eva was her perspective on facing upcoming challenges which she asks herself, "What's holding you back?". With the answer to this question, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

#13 - Fashion Modeling with Dylan Franken

21m · Published 14 Feb 08:00

This is Dylan (die-lin), an upcoming fashion model in the Netherlands with a plan to make it. Dylan is an advocate for eating healthy, ensuring enough rest, and making sure you are in a good mood. As he is taking modeling more seriously, Dylan is still a student studying his Master's in Earth Science in Utrecht, Netherlands.

In this episode, Dylan and I talk about how finding what you aspire to become is challenging, asking yourself how to get there. But inevitably all the unexpected events that happen along the way are just what you need to get there and inspire you to progress alongside Dylan and I talk about what it means to be a model and how important it is for Dylan.

The biggest takeaway from my conversation with Dylan is once you know what you want, be assertive in your actions, be the driver of your life, not the passenger, and don't give up, ask questions where and when you need it.

Will, How was your day?

This is Will, Will is the most driven, motivated, and ambitious individual you will ever meet. He breathes persistence and curiosity when it comes to all forms of life. Will is a student at the University of Utrecht studying economics and is a close friend of mine and in this episode, Will and I talk about gratitude and how to work that out to make yourself grateful for things in your life. We touch upon what goals Will has set up for himself. We also come across a quote that resonated with our conversation, "cross that bridge when you get there".

The biggest takeaway after my conversation with Will is: take what you can and make the most out of what you got because things are not always as bad as they seem.
