Navigating through Trials

32m · Published 26 Oct 19:00

Brittany Staker is  the host of Eyes to See podcast and a motivational speaker. A Mom to 3 teens and has been married for 20 years to her husband, Derek.

A few years ago she was diagnosed with an eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa. The light that travels through your eyes passes through cones and rods which allows you to see. Well, those amazing little cells in mine are dying. There isn’t a cure(for now), or a timeline of how long my eyes will work. She has lost  night vision and her right eye completely. But her left eye is holding on and is allowing her to see just a little longer.

You don’t realize the power of vision until it starts to diminish. Which is what has brought her to now. Brittany realized that there is power in positivity, having hope, faith in your hardest times. Seen and Unseen.

So! Here we both are navigating through our own journeys, different seasons of life, life's challenges, trials, I could keep going.

BUT! She's here to help you be able to have “Eyes to See” the good in ALL THINGS! What I have learned is that it won’t come over night, it takes time and practice and most of all effort. If you are willing, I promise the LIGHT will COME!

Growing vs. Comfort Zone

6m · Published 05 Oct 20:30

I hope you enjoyed General Conference this past weekend!!

It was wonderful to hear and receive revelation from Heavenly Father.

One quote that stuck with me was by Sis Michelle D. Craig- "Heavenly Father cares more about your growth than your comfort."

WOW!!!

It's so easy to stay in our comfort zone.

Is your comfort zone helping you get to the level of greatness Heavenly Father want you to be?  OR even the mom, wife, business, finances you want to achieve?

EVERYTHING you want is outside of our comfort zone....

You want a connected relationship with your family and friends? That requires opening up and being willing to share.

You want a fit/healthy body?  That requires nourishing your body, exercise, sleep, etc.

You want to share your gifts of singing, speaking, crafting, business building? That requires you share online, speak up in your community, or sing in church.

You want to strengthen your testimony?  That requires faith, study, pondering, seeking.

What you really want will push you to get out of your comfort zone and STRETCH yourself.

Take the first steps in starting your business, hire a coach, show up on social media, etc.

What can you do this week to stretch into the women GOD has called you to be??

Episode 29- Persistence Part 2

6m · Published 13 Sep 13:38
Success and failure begins with your mindset. Don't let all your 'can't' become a reality. The mindset that works is positive. The mind is either a passport or a prison and you get to decide. I recommend adopting the motto - I don't live in fear and I am difficult to offend. What habits are you working for? What habits do you get to break? Stop not finishing projects Follow Through Stop Self Criticism, being late, and start eating healthy. Focus on the habit you want not the negative Learn more about me and who I serve HERE

13m · Published 23 Aug 15:19

Confidence can be a choice! You can change your thought patterns!

3 Things keeping you in self doubt:

1. Overthinking

2. Perfectionism

3. Fear of Failing

Overcoming Self Doubt

1. Building Self trust- keeping commitments to your self

3. Recognizing the voices in your head and acting upon it
