This week, I am thrilled to welcome Laura Conley to the podcast. As a certified life and weight loss coach, Laura specializes in guiding moms to lasting weight loss and self-acceptance. Her approach focuses on empowering her clients to balance their hunger hormones, rewire their brains, handle challenging emotions, take daily accountability, and become their own besties. Through this work, Laura's clients are able to create positive legacies for their kids that are rooted in self-love, confidence, and freedom from food, weight, and body image drama. Laura and I discuss how to talk with kids about food and body image, the importance of healing our own relationships with food and self-image, and how our self-talk directly influences our kids' perceptions of themselves. Laura's passion for helping moms radiates throughout the interview. Her infectious energy and expertise makes our conversation both enjoyable and incredibly valuable. It's an episode you definitely won't want to miss! Get full show notes and information at www.lessdramamoremama.com/293

Are you part of the "sandwich generation" -- caring for your kids and aging parents at the same time? My guest today knows the challenges and stressors of being a caregiver. Jennifer Richey had the primary responsibility of managing the care of her grandfather and both of her parents at the ends of their lives. In 2018, she became a Certified Caregiving Consultant and a Certified Life Coach, specializing in helping those taking care of aging parents, adult children with disabilities, and other loved ones. Two months ago, I found myself thrust into the unexpected role of caregiver for my father after he fell and broke his shoulder. Almost immediately, I reached out to Jennifer and asked her to be a guest on the podcast because I knew I wasn’t the only mom struggling with the demands of parenting, caregiving, work, and other responsibilities. Even if caring for your parents isn't currently your role, it may likely be a consideration in your future, so tune in and listen to Jennifer's expert advice.
