In Part 1 Josef and I sit down and talk about his journey of becoming mindfully resilient. He tells us of his life growing up and some of the adversities he had gone through during his school years. We talk about depression, anxiety and fear and how he works through them daily to help himself keep his Mind Right. Joseh describes a leader and what qualities they should have and some of ways they should lead. Thriving though survival with Jillian Best

Within this episode, Jillian Lets us in on her journey of what it was like to live with HHT( Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia) as it affected her life within more ways than one. First seeing her mom living with it and going through the pain and 2 transplant surgeries to Facing it all herself. Jillian tells us of beautiful intimate moments she shared and experienced with her mom throughout both their times of thriving through survival and how within all the uncertainty and hardship they both had each other to lean on. We discuss what it was like for her to keep her mind right within the time of being diagnosed to getting the incredible news that she was receiving a liver and what that moment was like for her. After surgery, Jillian was told about the Transplant World games where she then took a look at what events were there and found her sport swimming and decided to dive in and start training for the games, She won medals in the event of swimming and a little running all around the world within these Transplant games, including gold right here in her home country Canada.  You can literally feel the passion Jillian has for her training and sport and when she shares what that moment was like for her to be standing on the podium receiving metals just 1 year after having her transplant surgery. We discuss the importance of having a support team and what dealing with such high an emotional experience truly shows you who is important within your life. We talk training and what a day in her life looks like, we talk outside goals of hers like how she took the leap and started her own hairdressing business after working in salons for years. how she and her husband Zach take full of advantage of travelling and sharing new experiences together.
