Episode 38: Vocal Cool Down

7m · Published 02 Jan 23:08

After a long singing session, performance or a focused effort training the voice for an extended period, it is important to cool down your voice after working hard.

This is perfect to combo at the end of a few episodes on the podcast, such as The Easy & Effective Warm Up, (Episode 35)  Low End Power Building (Episode 36) and High End Training (Episode 37)

If you add them all together you will have over 45 minutes of vocal training to warm up, strengthen and build your vocal skills.

If you are interested in trying the Singing Straw and would like a discount, follow this link and use the code "rockit10" to get 10% off your order. https://lddy.no/c052

Good luck! As always, please let me know if you have any questions, and never ever push your voice if you feel pain, tension or pressure at all. Singing should always feel comfortable if you are doing it correctly.

Episode 32: Singing Warm Up for Commercial Country Vocals

16m · Published 29 Sep 19:02

I am working on my lesson plan for Rockit Vocal Studios' vocal harmony group, and figured I should warm up before recording myself singing their parts! So here it is.

This warm up is tailored for "Church Bells" by Carrie Underwood, and digs into the higher twangy tones of commercial country music. It will be helpful for singing a lot of her songs, as well as many modern country hits. Male vocalists can also follow along but sing the octave lower.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like more info! email [email protected] or reach out via social media @rockitvocalstudios

I would really appreciate if you like, share subscribe if you enjoyed this podcast!

I LOVE how she uses her voice in the remake of this Disney classic, and wanted to share the warm up I use before singing it, as well as some modifications and various techniques I'll be working on in order to strengthen how I sing it, and help you sing it too!
