How Are you doing?

21m · Published 05 Apr 16:31

Friends we have a problem, and it has been happening for a long time – THE CHURCH IS SHRINKING!  If we do not do something the church will be gone soon.  There is only one true way to “save” the church, DISCIPLESHIP.

Discipleship is not about some great program, path, or even line that will get you to tell the Gospel message.  It is about relationships, friendships, and intentionality.  Today we explore Pastor Matt’s first book about relational discipleship.  In this book Matt talks about what it looks like to be a disciple and what true relational discipleship is all about.  The art of relational discipleship is based on the four Cs:

CONNECT

CARE

COMMUNITY

CHRIST

Using these four Cs relational discipleship can start.  All it starts with is the phrase, “How are you doing?” and let the conversation and relationship take you to a place where Jesus is seen and experienced.

A Discipleship or Apprenticing Relationship

25m · Published 01 Mar 20:24

Who are you leading and who are you discipling?  Who do I choose to help me?  Finding someone to help in your group or to disciple in your life can be hard.  But we have been given an example of what this can look like.  The person who modeled this for us is Jesus.  How he led and walked with the disciples and lead them to be leaders and be better disciples for the kingdom.

In this month’s podcast we will talk through this process and what that looks like for you and your group as well as what that will look like as you disciple others. you can find the leader guide HERE

Missional Community Nights

15m · Published 01 Feb 17:28

Discipleship or group life depends on connecting with people.  This can get complicated when we see people at work and at home.  Our friend circles are very small at times.  So how do we create avenues for people to connect and grow as friends so they can grow closer to you and then grow as a disciple.  It is a Missional Community Night.

On this month’s podcast we will talk about:

  • Hosting a Missional Community Night and what you should plan for
  • What a Missional Community night will look like
  • How to invite with intentionality

you can find the leader guide at the link below.

14m · Published 04 Jan 17:18

At this time of year group time can be difficult.  Why?  Christmas is over and now we see the earth as barren.  The sun is out less, the trees do not have leaves, and it is COLD.  This leads to people staying to themselves and can make group time more difficult.

In this month’s episode, we will explore what you can do in your group to combat these feelings and how to help your group find the “cure” to the winter blues.    You can find the PDF for this episode HERE

Have you been looking for the newest and best discipleship program for your church?  Are you struggling to find the best way to help people see Jesus and experience His love?   Maybe discipleship is not about what you do but it is about how you lead other to live in everyday life with people in their life.  Maybe discipleship is about the phrase, “How are you doing?”  During our time together we will learn about methods that have helped in discipleship at Prince of Peace and how these may be incorporated into your ministry.  We will also share with each other, ways we are developing and growing disciples and through relational ministry.
