059: Classroom Management Live Coaching Session
28m · PublishedYou are in for a treat today. We are sharing the second portion of my live coaching session with Jordan. Just as a quick refresher, Jordan is going into her second year of teaching and was a lucky winner of the free coaching session after purchasing the Kickstart Your School Year Course.
We talked about her classroom organization needs back in episode 56 so if you haven’t listened to that one yet, I recommend going back and listening to that. Then coming here and listening to us talk about management because we will pick up right where we left off in episode 56.

058: Tips for Pre-Service Teachers (and for working with them!) with Dr. Sam Fecich
35m · PublishedBefore you can step out into the world of education, you have to spend time as a Pre-Service teacher learning from those ahead of you. Today on the podcast I am talking with Dr. Sam Fecich, a college professor for Pre-Service teachers. We talk about the fact that it is okay to change your career in education even if you always thought being in the classroom was your destiny. We also talk about her book, Edumagic, and all the different ways pre-service teachers (and, let's be honest, current teachers) can prepare for and improve their teaching skills.

057: Top 3 Areas to Organize in Your Classroom
20m · PublishedI always ask teachers what their biggest pain points are when it comes to teaching and more specifically, organization. There are overarching themes I see day in and day out. One of the biggest being “where do I start?!?”
I always recommend starting small, with an area that is easy to organize in a matter of a few minutes and then working up to bigger things. Also, don’t feel like you have to reorganize your whole classroom in one weekend. It’s a gradual thing. It should be. Too much at once, especially while you're in a school year with kids, can be a lot to change everything at once.
So instead, I recommend starting with a few key areas that I will share today.

054: 5 Things to do to Avoid Teacher Burnout
19m · PublishedToday I am going to give you an excerpt from my course, Kickstart Your School Year. Now I know the school year has already started and yes, the course is designed to help you kick-start your year. But the things I talk about in the course are valuable at any time of the year. While I would always recommend you start your year out organized, sometimes it doesn’t happen but the good news is, you can do it even in the middle of the year! It may take a little bit longer and you might have to scale things down a bit, but it’s never too late to get started!
